Kitchen before and afters! These before pictures were taken about 9 years ago which is crazy to think we’ve lived here for 10 years! We are slowly updating spaces, but my main goal is not to lose the charm this 100+ year old house has. These are the original cabinets still, we just replaced the doors and drawer fronts. This is a huge cost savings! Recently a friend told me “your house looks like this is how it always should have been” and that really is the best compliment I could ever get! I want to honor the age and quirks it has (because it has lots!) while still making it a place that works for raising our little family. Obviously, we still have some things to do, including replacing my lovely painters tape shelves with real shelves soon! But this kitchen has become one of my favorite rooms in the house and it was easily one of my least favorites when we moved in.
