Someone somewhere discarded something glass, tossing it into the lake or near the shore without a second thought. That glass was unwanted and cast aside. It was taken away by the current, tossed around by the waves, shattered, and broken. The power of the waves over time, softened the broken edges and turned the brokenness into beauty.

We see beach glass as a metaphor for life. We may feel unwanted, broken, or useless. Life tosses us around but the power of those experiences over time shapes us in new ways, turning our brokenness into beauty.

We're thankful for each tiny gift Lake Michigan gives us as we walk her shores. Each piece of jewelry we create carries this story of brokenness turned into beauty.
