The main theme in BYE BYE BIRDIE that I wanted to come across was how television/media affects the world around it - interesting how that still is something that affects the world today!
One Last Kiss I wanted to feel like a campy tribute to America - red, white, and blue and of course, full military uniforms but in green sequin! I wanted to have a live feed of what we were doing onstage shown on the monitors behind the action in black and white for contrast and age of the story.
Jordan Sklansky created the most amazing period camera and made sure the live feed was the most period appropriate.
Stephanie Nece made sure that the campy American tribute was full of bling and colors
Gidget Galore ran with my military costume idea and made it the more fabulous then I could even imagine.
The cast took the direction and created such a funny, true, beautiful scene and I’m just so proud of them all! Shout out to David, Alana, Hank, Ethan, Byron, & Emily for working those camera moments to perfection!
Missing our little show but SO PROUD of what we created!
