Coming back from a year & a half long hiatus is hard… I’ve done so much organizing & so many projects; I’m not even sure where to start sharing to catch up. 🤯

However, I think it’s important for me to start here —

While I am OBSESSED with and admire The Home Edit for their remarkable work, I’m not them. Clea and Joanna truly paved the way for people like me, who have an obsession with organizing & want to help make people’s homes less chaotic and more functional. However, my clients are usually people who don’t have the budget for (or don’t want to spend) thousands of dollars on containers alone. My clients live busy lives & purging is sometimes hard to do when you have little ones running around who have their own sentimental attachment to seemingly unimportant items. So, some of my clients get stuck with stuff - A LOT of STUFF.

My point is that my feed is not going to live up to the picture perfect rainbow theme of The Home Edit. My style and my goal is organizing more for functionality than for aesthetic — but I always try to achieve both! Sometimes though, functionality takes precedence, and you may notice that in some of my posts.

Nonetheless, I’m so grateful y’all are here and really hope I get to organize for you one day 🖤

Hi everyone! A lot has happened since my last post in 12/2020: we got a new puppy, I quit my marketing job, we bought a new house, and I celebrated my 25th birthday (just to name a few). So here goes nothing //

My name is Taylor, my two dogs are my life (3y shorkie & 10.5mos GSD), I love my family & my boyfriend of 5 years. I have a bachelors degree in Marketing 🙂

Back in October, I quit my marketing job after 2 years. It was kind of a whim decision, but I was just struggling to find my way and I didn’t feel it was fair to my boss and coworkers (or myself) to show up to a job everyday without giving it my all.

Not long after that, I started a job with a new family. I wasn’t sure what the role would entail; however, it started out as organizing/managing a BIG move for the merging of a BIG, wonderful, blended family. Since then, it’s evolved into pretty much a “family manager” position. 😅🤣 I help get the kiddos (all 6 of them) to school in the mornings, and help with homework & bedtimes at night as well as everything in between at the house and with the littles.

I’ve kind of been doing this since I was 16? Which is honestly insane to me — 9 years later, I never would’ve imagined that connecting with a mom from St. Louis (who’s family was staying in Ligonier for the summer) on Care.com would land me where I am today, but that’s exactly how I got here.

My job has completely evolved from nannying + babysitting + kid shuttling on the side to now managing multiple families & multiple properties as my full time gig.

In addition, I’m working for an INCREDIBLE interior designer who has taken me under her wing to show me the ropes of the industry, and I love every second of it. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling to DC lately for some of the projects she has & for one of my favorite families who live there and I’ve worked for since I was 17.

As I’m scheduling my summer, I’ve decided to take on more organizing clients, and that’s why I’m here! I want to share some more of the work I’ve done over the last two years since my last post… So get ready to see some of my past (and current) projects — including some of my own new house things I have going on 🥳
