TGIF! Today is set up day for Really Cool Comic Con in Toledo! As a reminder, the shop will be CLOSED both today (Friday, May 29th) and tomorrow (Saturday, May 30th) while we're at the con! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, be sure to get them soon! It's going to be an awesome event! We hope to see you there!

Need something from the shop and make sure you don't miss out on something? You can order ahead of time on our website (whiskersandwizards.com -> Click Shop) and select local pick up (or shipping anywhere in the US), and it will be available for pick up (or shipped) when we reopen on Wednesday!

As we head into Summer Break, we wanted to share a couple of reminders!

First, we are open late (until 8pm) today, Thursday, May 28th, as we will be closed tomorrow (May 29th) and Saturday (May 30th) as we head to Toledo for Really Cool Comic Con!

Second, we want to share a reminder that we have posted signs around the store regarding not opening and/or damaging product packaging as well as a reminder that we have samples of many items behind the counter if you ask.

Unfortunately, this has not been particularly helpful for resolving the issues we've been experiencing. We've been experiencing a variety of losses including in store theft and the damaged packaging, which is hard on a small business like ours. We ask if you are sending your kids in unsupervised, please remind them to mind the signs, look with your eyes and not your hands, and talk to them about how serious theft is - even if the item is small.

We have seen other stores creating rules that kids under a certain age aren't allowed in without supervision, and as we're facing the same issues, we can understand that decision. We are trying hard to NOT have to do that, but we may have to reevaluate that if the problems persist.

Lots of new stuff for What’s New Wednesday!

For Funko Pop! Figures, we received the newest waves of K-Pop Demon Hunters and Stranger Things as well as the Stranger Things “Split” concept!

We restocked one of your favorite ITA bags and some enamel pins from Floralfrolicfox!

The Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Bundle arrived!

And we restocked and added a variety of new squishies as well as adding fun dumpling lights and stocking a few things with the upcoming Allen County Fair in mind like pig pens, light up flower crowns, and cute handheld fans!

It’s a Convention Week! We’ll be up in Toledo this weekend for Really Cool Comic Con, and we’re so excited to be a vendor there for the first time! Due to this, we’ll have adjusted hours at the shop. We’ll be closed Friday in order to set up at the event, and on Saturday when the event starts. We’ll be staying open until 8pm on Thursday, though, to give you extra time to shop!

We will continue to revisit foot traffic/sales at the shop to determine if it’s enough to hire someone to cover the shop, but, unfortunately, at this time it still is not. If this changes, we would be thrilled to make that happen!

Today’s the day! We’re having our Game Night…or Afternoon. 😅 It starts at 2:30pm! Registration includes a $5 voucher to redeem at Village Coffee House but it must be redeemed before they close at 3pm! Advance registration is not required but recommended to reserve your spot!
