I get asked a lot about our name 'Inspired by Peaches'...'Peaches' was my momma who passed away in 2012. She was my shopping partner, my opinionated critic, my boys' Nana, a loud voice that I heard everyday. Shortly after she passed is when I began doing this...helped keep my mind working I suppose.

I just got an ‘Emerging Talent’ badge from Facebook! I’d like to thank the academy (aka you all) for supporting my questionable purchases and all the dead people out there for their dishes. Seriously though, I have fun and hope you do too. Gonna go check the mail cause there’s def gotta be a check associated with this. 🙃

The older rhyme is usually along the lines of “Tough t***y, said the kitty, but the milk’s still good.” The implied scene is a kitten complaining that the teat is “tough,” but the response is essentially: that may be so, but you still have to deal with it if you want the milk.

So “tough titties” evolved into “too bad—circumstances are what they are.”

The logic is less literal than humorous: complaint acknowledged, problem unchanged.
