This work thrills me. I am in the process of making some wedding day clutches out of a special grandma’s dress.

The veil provides the lace on the front of the flap. The fabric detail is in remembrance of Julia, who died at 21 and was a beloved daughter, niece, and cousin. Pieces of scarves she bought in Italy make up that detail.
Printed on the lining fabric is the photo of grandma wearing the dress that the clutches are made out of.
I am thankful to be part of giving these old things new life 💖

I dusted off my makin’ boots and did some makin’ this morning 🥰😆

Things in the office have been slow, for good reason! We took in some kids a few months ago as fosters. Our hands and hearts and laundry piles are FULL. But these song lyrics, a custom order, were good for me to reflect on as I made it.
