Beautiful fall colors and themes in this clients quilt. We chose a light sage thread, and leafy quilting design. She has a pieced backing. As a quilter I understand why we do this. It’s a great way to use up the extra fabric. It also creates visual interest to the back of the quilt. As a longarmer, they create some challenges. It’s a bit harder to keep everything square and make sure there are no tucks on a pieced backing. But I think this one looks great! It’s a fun way to celebrate autumn 🍂 🍁

Pretty purple quilt for a client! Such a fun pattern and delightful colors! I do love purple and quilting this quilt for my client has made me want to create a purple quilt! We shall see how I do… so many projects ahead of that. We chose to stay neutral with a natural white thread. The backing she chose is fantastic! It’s like a watercolor painting of flowers. The quilting pattern is a nice modern argyle, that creates such I beautiful texture.

How cute is this? My husband has started 3D printing, and look what he made for me. A bobbin that holds my bobbins! 🤣🤪I love it. It has a magnet in the top so the lid stays on when it’s pick up. It holds the bobbins for my Longarm machine. What a fun way to keep my bobbins organized.

When was the last time you sharpened your sewing scissors? It’s a small task that’s easy to postpone, especially when they still cut well. However, if they’re snagging on fabric or leaving threads behind, sharpening them can make a significant difference. Cleaner cuts and less effort are always appreciated when you’re sewing!

A beautiful log cabin quilt for a client. The high contrast of the red and white fabrics always puts a challenge for me. Do you blend with the white fabric? Or the red? This time I chose the red and I am so happy with the results. We chose a very traditional swirl type design and I love the way it shows up in the white areas. The backing is a nice navy flannel and will make this quilt super cuddly.

Finished the beautiful panel quilt for a client. I have never been to this national park, but after seeing this lovely panel I think I need to make the effort to see it. The thread choice for this quilt was a bit tricky. I didn’t really want the thread color to show, I just wanted a lovely texture to the quilt. We picked a medium blue color that blended really well. The quilting is a lovely wave pattern that mimics the sky on the panel and also the water. She backed it with a soft minky fabric. Don’t will be super snuggly. I hope the client is happy.

Finally quilted one of my many quilt tops that need to be finished. This one is a scrap quilt with wonky ⭐️ stars. This pattern has become one of my favorite ways to use my scraps. It’s pretty big and easy to come together. The backing is a fun graphic fabric and I quilted it with a nice geometric quilting pattern. Now it’s got the best crinkles!!

Finished this clients quilt. She created this quilt from t-shirts collected from concerts. What a fun gift and great way to remember seeing the concerts. This is one of the fun things I love about quilting. It’s more that a quilt/blanket. It can also be memories, whether it’s concerts or a loved ones clothing. It creates a tangible item to hold those memories. I find that quite lovely.

This little quilt is a special one for me. My cousin’s son is having his first baby. My friend, his dad, loved mid century modern style. So, when I saw this lovely fat quarter bundle while I was in Utah, and thought of him and knew I wanted to make a baby quilt for this new baby. I hope the new parents like it.
