Remember when we used to do weekly introduction posts on here? Definitely haven’t done one of those in a while. Here’s a “5 things you may not know about me” for old-time’s sake:

1. Unfortunately I do talk to animals of all kinds. Dogs and cats of course but also bees, butterflies, spiders, deer, bunnies, and birds. If you see me in conversation and there is not a human in sight, check for the nearest animal.

2. My favorite scents also happen to be my favorite flavors - lemon, mint, rosemary, basil, lavender. Pretty much anything citrusy or botanical.

3. I am a math teacher turned education researcher who unexpectedly discovered flowers. I never imagined myself in an artistic vocation while slinging formulas and spreadsheets during college. Embrace the curves of life…

4. My ideal getaway involves mountains and/or a body of freshwater. Preferably with a running trail and a bookstore nearby. And very few people.🙃

5. I am a wife to the most patient man in the world and a mom to 2 teenage boys, 2 dogs, and 1 kitty cat. My greatest joy is sharing life with them.

I’m not on social media as much as I used to be, but I’m always grateful for the connections here.✨

As we shift into peak wedding season, I love looking back at last year’s celebrations around this time of year. Few were sweeter than Amanda & Zach’s big day, held at a beautiful family home that felt intensely personal and perfectly special (hello, vintage cars?!). Pink floral details filled out their event vibe, and we were lucky to snag the fluffiest blush peonies from to tuck into every design.

One of those dreamy early June days that was just the right amount of warm and sunny…it felt like a gift to be part of this one!

Absolutely gorgeous captures here by , what a treat to relive this celebration through her lens.
