While I quibble with the headline for this petition, I still signed it. Raccoons are an integral part of the ecosystem, and the Willowbrook Wildlife Center provides a valuable service in capture, treatment, and release of orphaned and injured raccoons (not just babies).

If you live in DuPage County, please consider the issues raised by both parties. I don’t find the County’s arguments compelling. I believe Willowbrook Wildlife Center has responded to the County’s plan with solid reasons for its raccoon rehabilitation program.

Stop DuPage County From Killing Baby Raccoons!!!

It’s always nice when the tax dude I’m married to compliments me on my records for eBay store. Start up year saw some significant one-time start up expenses (holy hell, packing material is expensive, floor risers to keep product off floor, and shipping supplies). My shipping costs were generally accurate (early days I forgot to account for packing material in shipping weight - rookie).

Settling an estate is no fun when you’re trying to claw back the coin that should have been saved…and the anathema off still very useful items going to the landfill.

Yes, much is donated to one-off local resale shops (not Goodwill). But even those shops have no clue what to do with a first edition set of “The Diary of Gideon Welles” and other quirky items.

May 2024 be a year of selling, donating, and letting go for my sister. Have loads to add now…

Yes. I “read” this book in 14 minutes. Flipped througj and realized once again that for me, Martha Stewart is simply over the top on everything.

My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy. All those cute baskets and holders of stuff might look nice, but I have to dust them. One can have too many “organizers.”

Says the woman with three sets of measuring cups…in my defense, I bake in job lots. I miss my double ovens.

Time to step up again…the last several weeks have been spent processing items and clearing out a storage unit. Sorting continues, attempting to corral like items together so an informed decision can be made regarding what will be kept and what will be sold.

THAT SAID: The next few weeks will see other items added to the mix at The Squirrel’s Cache on eBay. There are multiple die-cast cars, airplane models, and models that you put together. Those of a certain age may remember the old Revell models and “airplane glue.” I have the models. No glue.
