Kitchener/Waterloo rug fans, your weekend just got a whole lot softer. 🧶✨

The Bunyaad rugs have officially landed at the New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale and they’re ready for flipping, swooning, and “I think this one belongs in my living room” moments.

📍 Friday: 5–9 PM
📍 Saturday: 8 AM–2:30 PM

We’re bringing over 275 hand-knotted beauties ranging from tiny-but-mighty 2’x3’ pieces to room-commanding 9’x12’ stunners, plus runners, rounds, and squares galore. Basically: a woolly wonderland. 🐑

Even better? You can still take rugs home on approval. Yep. Rug test drive season is alive and well.

This event kicks off the Ontario Bunyaad Rug Event tour hosted by Ten Thousand Villages Cobourg. Next stop:

“You got trouble…” 🎶 And at Bunyaad Marketplace, that trouble apparently comes in pairs named Robyn and Lindy. 😄

While “updating the spring display” was technically the assignment, what actually happened included:
✨ uncontrollable laughter
✨ decorative detours
✨ at least 17 “wait, try it THIS way” moments
✨ enough cheerful chaos to qualify as a tiny theatrical production

Honestly, if joy could rearrange furniture, it would look exactly like this. Working side-by-side with these two is the kind of trouble we hope never gets solved. 🌷🧵💛

We take “fair trade everything” very seriously… but also very deliciously. 🍫🍌😄

Yes, that includes chocolate. Yes, that includes bananas. And yes, that means things are about to get wonderfully messy in the best possible way.

At festivals and events throughout the year, we whip up our legendary fair trade hot fudge banana boats 🛶✨—a dessert situation that has strong opinions about happiness.

A million years ago, our fair trade friends with One World Market in Ithaca told us that they were using yard signs to promote their Fair Trade Rug Event... well, now over 95% of our Rug Events across the US and Canada use yard signs. THANK YOU to our Ithaca friends for suggesting this... and for all the willing hands who help to get the yard signs out ahead of a rug event.
