My first sweet potato harvest! 🍠🌱

Over 100 days of patience, tending, and waiting. All the while, something beautiful was quietly growing beneath the soil, unseen.

Gardening has taught me so much about faith and the seasons of life. Not everything grows at the same pace, and not everything God is doing is visible to us. Sometimes we simply have to trust the process, remain faithful in the waiting, and allow things to grow in their appointed season.

Today, I pulled my first sweet potato from the ground, and it was such a sweet reminder that there is beauty in the waiting and joy in the harvest.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 ❤️

As we celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I think about how important it is to share the stories of those who came before us. History books can teach us about the past, but the lived experiences of our families tell us so much more. These stories remind us of where we come from, who we are, and that we, as Native people, are still here. We are the living legacy of their strength, faith, and resilience.

Today, I'm remembering my dear Grandma J, a Diné woman of faith and prayer who grew up in the mountains of Ramah, New Mexico. I'm so thankful for her life and the beautiful legacy she left behind.

Purdue University is hosting a cooking demonstration and garden cleanup in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day. This will be my first time on campus, and I can’t wait to meet everyone and share some quick and easy Native-inspired foods!

As we prepare to kick off the fall season, our handcrafted Compound Butters will be available for local pickup only and at our upcoming farmers markets. 🧈🌿

🍂 Living Full Company is going on the road this fall!

We’re excited for a season filled with food, culture, community, and connection—both away from home and right here in North Texas.

This October, Living Full Company has been invited to Purdue University for an Indigenous Peoples’ Day cooking demonstration, where I’ll have the opportunity to share food, culture, and the stories that connect us to the land and one another. 🌽🫘🤎

And we’re just as excited to serve our local community! You can find us at the Celina Friday Night Market in October and November with some of your favorite Living Full handcrafted goods and seasonal treats. 🍞🍪🍂

From Texas to Indiana and back home again, we’re grateful for every opportunity to gather around the table, meet new people, and celebrate home, family, and culture.
