This hat has been sitting ALMOST finished in my WIP tote for a year. I decided to skip to the last line of the pattern this weekend and just wrap it up and call it good. Not bad for my first crochet project. Terrible gauge? Of course. Is it inside out? Pretty sure that's a yes. Did I crochet the wrong way a few times? Also yes. But is it done? Definitely. Will I be ordering more yarn and starting another one as soon as Amazon delivers? Absolutely.

What good are the mistakes and learning opportunities if I don't try again. 😊

Knitting will always have my heart. But I don't mind sneaking in a little side action with crochet once a year.

Pattern: Cleo Fedora (very beginner friendly!)
Yarn: Rewind Tape Yarn in Willow

One of these days I may actually finish my very first sock. If the cat doesn't eat this one, too. I'll just be chugging along, stitch by stitch, willing myself to finish this one and immediately start the next one the very next moment.

Took a little drive out to in Lucas, Texas today. Taking a visit to this precious little flower farm has been on my bucket list since the very first post with the very first cart of flowers. These gorgeous ranunculus were my official siren's call. I was lured out and the flowers are even more stunning in person. I may have been taking pictures of them the whole drive home because I don't want to forget how pretty they are and how happy they make me.

Highly recommend all y'all make a visit to the cart. It's like buying a brand new skein of indi dyed yarn, without having to worry about any new WIPs. πŸ§‘πŸ’œπŸ€

31 days filled with 31 new cast ons and hours upon hours of knitting. And snacking. So many projects and stitches and new yarns. All with the companionship of 3 seasons of Ted Lasso. 2.5 seasons of Downton Abbey and 2.5 seasons of Schitt's Creek.

I'll be working on a project calendar for February and March to finish some of the WIPs. Some I will be taking out once I realized the yarn would be better for a different project. And others may hang out in my WIP basket until the next group knit party comes along.

Much gratitude to for the challenge of the ! January tends to be drab and drag and this is the first time it seemed to race by. Best part of all was the abundant quality time I got with my oldest late into the night and wee early hours of the next day. Legos + Knit + Binge streaming = πŸ‘©πŸ»πŸ‘§πŸΌπŸ₯°

Day 31. The final cast on of January.
