It's been really incredible week and I want to take the time to say Thank You to my current friends and all my new followers. I'll have the fiber arts social groups list posted this week.
So Who/What is Grumpy Bulldog Yarn?
Let me introduce myself (and Ed).
I'm Sandy, and I failed at retirement.
I got frustrated with trying to find yarns that fit my goals and sensory issues. So, I followed my heart and my dream and started creating them myself. No corporate backing, no backing of any kind including joint funds. Just myself, my dreams, and some savings from working a crappy job. I should mention here that Jeff, my husband❤️, is an amazingly supportive person and the decision to ONLY use my own personal $ was my own.
It took about 4 months to get to yes in finding a factory to contract with for production on my first line- Heirloom Acrylic- a sensory friendly blend of milk fiber and acrylic (science rocks!).

Then I needed a retail space.
My current spot came available to get started. Thank you, Grant & Angel Sprague of BennyMango's Crafts & Treasures.
The building is not fancy, but I've tried my best to upgrade the inside in the time available.

Just like people, it's what's on the inside that counts.

In this case, its quality yarn. Every line, every fiber needs to pass Grumpy Bulldog standards. I didn't work this hard in life to let something of inferior quality be my legacy.
So ask yourself, do you want to buy great yarn? Or crappy yarn from a place with a high overhead and a fancy facade?
Anywho, Welcome to month 7!
Cashmere Fusion is officially en route and will be in the store by the end of September (barring some repeat of the Heirloom Acrylic delay- but that's a story for another time). This is the 7th yarn line for Grumpy Bulldog!
7 months, 7 yarn lines. I'm a bit amazed.
So Welcome to the Grumpy Bulldog journey! I love talking with my customers. Y'all make my day!
I appreciate ALL of you who have taken a chance on a new yarn, shared pictures of your projects, everything.

It's hard wearing every hat except mascot but I love it. Fiber design, contract negotiations, sales, marketing, shipping, janitor, signage, and probably 16 other jobs I do without defining it.
And Ed? He is a rescue & turns 6 next month. Ed is not very good at IT unfortunately, but he loves everybody. He will be in the shop a bit more often as the weather turns cooler.

Life is great!

I finished my Double Reverse Ombre Wrap today.
I still need to write up the pattern, but the pattern, color design, and 100% Cotton yarn are mine.
It's so soft! It feels like a hug . Inspired by the children's book "Striped Ice Cream"
