Honored to be part of the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse this year. This Silverwing study was the result of letting the 136 year old home guide the design. As a way of honoring the many generations who have taken residence here before we wove classical details such as dentil molding, classic stripe wallpaper, darker trim color, classical lighting from Remains Lighting Company and a portrait from contemporary artist Jessica Helfand , who loves a piece of history as much as we do, together with modern day furniture. The custom desk by Aronson Woodworks: Bespoke Furniture & Claize™ Finishes was made specifically to mimic the vintage rug colors, the amazingly cool hardware from Nest Studio whose k***s seNest Studiotake on vintage daguerrotypes and the dusty rose ceiling all work as a common thread between this and the other two rooms in this studio apartment. Always intentional, always thoughtful, always complementary, always warm and color forward. Come see for yourself the Brooklyn Showhouse is at 1 Monroe Place in Brooklyn Heights Thursday & Friday 11-7 Saturday & Sunday 10-6.
