Do you remember this little girl asking for your help to bring her Poppa Joseph Meaux home? As I write this post I am torn apart and crying. He will not be coming home. Not for quite a few years. I had a lawfirm hired ready to fight and get him cleared of the false charges against him. It's wrote down in black and white when the sworn witnesses claim he was holding his weapon and shooting with his left hand. But yet the arresting officer took his weapon and holster off his right hip when they arrested him. My husband is right handed. I had then found a lawyer who would take his case. But the lawyer informed him today he won't represent him. And that without a lawyer to show the holes in the case to bring to light the reason behind this black balling is because the alleged victim and 2 of the collaborating witnesses are the town snitches. And they are being protected. While my husband who has never been arrested and convicted of anything in his life goes down. The lawyer was nice enough to let him know as well that without legal representation he was looking at a minimum of a 10 year sentence. He is the soul provider for me and my daughter. I have a health condition along with me being a type 2 diabetic, and suffering from chronic fatigue disease. That prevents me from working. And lately with the stresses of him being gone and no money coming into our house except for my child support which just covers our rent. My condition is worsening. To the point of being potentially fatal. I could get up to do something and collapse and be gone in an instant. Or go to sleep and not wake up again. Leaving our 5 year old by herself and finding me like that until her daddy is notified. I come before you begging for anyone's help. A kind heart and hand up. Not a hand out. We will sign any kind of payback agreement. Do work for you including his trade of concrete. We have nothing of value to sell, nothing to use as collateral, and our credit is shot. He is going on 6 months of being sober from everything. And now has even quit smoking. He has turned over a new leaf and was working on starting his own company. Now he's alone against a crooked law enforcement, a crooked system, with no one to get in the ring with him and help him prove it. He wasn't read his Miranda rights until put in holding, wasn't searched until put in holding, didn't receive his 24 free phone call until 10-19 around 1pm. When he was arrested on 10-16. So you see he is black balled. He is allowed a PR (personal release) if he has never committed a crime like this before. He has put in for a request for this and it has been denied 3 times. He God given rights have been stripped away and no one sees the injustice in this. And no one is willing to help. I am turning to Facebook one last time looking for someone anyone willing to help us fight this injustice. Or to point us in the right direction of someone who will. He has given up hope. He is barely eating trading his food for things he needs because the jail is charging him 14 a week just to stay there. Everytime I put money on his books for commissary so he buy food to eat and trade the jail takes it instead. Tomorrow will make week 2 for him and he even sounds weak. Please someone help us. We are desperate and we are willing to do anything to fight to bring him home. I will even start selling body parts if that's what it will take. Thank you for reading our story.
