Our founder Lynn Hancey opened in a small store on South Main Street in Logan, Utah. Lynn’s Audio Video is one of the oldest electronic stores in the nation. After 60 years of giving our customers the best service possible, we continue to strive to keep those values that our company was founded upon. We take great pride on how we treat our customers. We are not a large store that can hide behind 1

-800 numbers and customer service lines. Independently owned and operated, Lynn’s is the local custom electronics specialist for Utah. The salesperson who sells you the product is also the person, who orders it, unloads it and places it on the sales floor. We stand behind every product and service that we offer. Lynn’s belongs to the largest electronics buying group in the U.S. with a network of over 4500 Dealers across the country. This gives you, the customer, peace of mind that you're getting the best value for the products we sell. We offer all of the top brands in television and audio such as Yamaha, LG, and Sony etc. We are one of the only stores to have its own repair shop in-house, and we are able to service many of the products we sell; so we can get your equipment back to you quickly. The custom home service department has two full time installation crews. Using only the best products, we offer new home construction pre-wire, smart home integration solutions, home theater systems, central vacuum systems, and video surveillance and security systems. Today we lost the man who started it all.
Our founder, Lynn Hancey, passed away yesterday morning.
Lynn didn’t just build a business — he built a reputation, a family legacy, and a way of treating people that still guides Lynn’s Audio Video today. From the early days of selling and installing electronics out of a small shop in Logan, to building custom audio/video systems across Utah, Lynn poured his heart into this company and into the people around him.
He was a true pioneer in this industry. Long before smart homes became common, Lynn was finding ways to bring technology, creativity, and craftsmanship together. Whether it was restoring a one-of-a-kind truck packed with electronics in the 1980s or helping customers experience the newest innovations in home entertainment, he loved what he did and took pride in doing it right.
More importantly, Lynn was a husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. Many of the values our company still stands on today came directly from him: work hard, treat people honestly, stand behind your word, and always take care of the customer.
These photos capture pieces of his journey — the early storefront days, the growth of the company, the people he built it with, and the life he dedicated to this work.
We are deeply grateful for the foundation he left us and for everyone who supported him and our family throughout the years.
