Our family lived in Lombard for a season while transitioning back to Illinois from Canada. One of my favorite places there is Lilacia Park. We visited as a family, and its beauty made it a natural starting point when I began drawing a Lombard Mug.

While we lived in town, we discovered Sweet Reserve and loved the quality of what they were creating. I connected with its founders, Sumaiya Vahora and Humera Rauf, and enjoyed hearing how their hard work and determination had grown a woman-owned bakery. Their story and the care they put into the business made this a particularly meaningful collaboration.

The Lombard Mug became the beginning of a larger partnership. I went on to create mugs for Sweet Reserve’s locations in Schaumburg, Skokie, and Winfield as well, with each design celebrating its own community.

Which detail on the mug brings back a memory for you? 💛

When we set out to create The Lombard Mug our aspiration was to make the BEST quality mug with ALL your favourite features for everyday use!

-A mug FULLY WRAPPED with artwork of the area, Ashley Ann’s detailed hand drawings of iconic Lombard images fully engulf all angles, to bring your morning cup of coffee to the next level. This isn’t your average logo mug.

-We went BIG, selecting a 15oz oversized mug.

-A mug with style and function, we landed on the latte style mug both for design aesthetic and functionality, it’s great for coffee, soup or late night ice cream!

-We chose quality product. This mug is solid, not only for durability to hold up well in the dishwasher and microwave but also because it insulates better keeping your coffee warmer.

-We thought through the experience, we wanted a curved lip on the top to give the smoothest drinking experience.

All of this came at a higher production cost but we knew it would be worth it, we wanted to put out the best possible mug we could. It’s not your average mug and is priced at $24.

We hope you love The Lombard Mug as much as we do! It’s sure to be a family favorite!
