Afternoon Art at Home
It's summer, and kids can get bored, especially on poor weather days. How about a 2-hour Art Class? I can teach up to 4 children, 8+ years old and up. I will come to your house and teach them how to do Diamond Painting. What is Diamond Painting?
Diamond painting is a form of mosaic art where you create sparkling designs by placing tiny resin rhinestones (often referred to as ‘drills’) onto a coded adhesive canvas. Each diamond corresponds to a unique symbol on the canvas, making creative intricate artwork easy and satisfying.
Notable Aspects of Diamond Painting:
• Promotes maintenance or enhancement of manual dexterity.
• Contributes to cognitive function improvement.
• Offers an alternative to passive activities like television or phone use, potentially addressing fidgetiness, restlessness, and cognitive fog.
• Facilitates theory of mind development in children, aiding their participation in social contexts.
• Exhibits potential in alleviating symptoms of depression by elevating dopamine levels.
• Fosters the development of patience and endurance.
• Allocating as little as 15 minutes daily to diamond painting can increase mental awareness, while reducing stress and anxiety levels.
The instructional fee for the class is set at $50 for two children, with a supplementary charge of $10 for each additional child, accommodating a maximum of four participants. The session includes guidance on applying drills to the canvas, culminating in the crafting of one keychain per participant, with an extra piece for future engagement. All required materials will be provided, requiring only adequate table space for the class. Adult presence within the premises during the class is mandatory.
Classes are adaptable for scheduled appointments or impromptu arrangements, contingent upon instructor availability.
