What makes you happy? Antique European Furniture … Mais oui! But, oh the smalls are the bling. I’m not sure anyone can identify my “style” (if you can, feel free to comment! I’d love to know 🤣). I love patina. I love rustic. I love bling. I love statuary, kitchenalia, books, bread boards, art, copper, pottery. I source a wide variety of French and European antique decor for the kitchen, coffee table, bookshelves, table and for inside and outside. If it makes me smile and my heart pitter putter and my wallet not scream, I’m bringing it home so you can. So, tell me? Are you team rustic or team refined? Or perhaps a bit of both?

Just popping my head in now and then sharing some tantalizing dealer sneak peeks. When I source in Belgium 🇧🇪, France 🇫🇷 and Netherlands, 🇳🇱 I go to markets both small and large, deballages (which are professional trade only markets), Brocantes, and dealers. I find dealers’ warehouses a reliable source of antiques because while I don’t have the luxury of sourcing homes and markets all year in Europe, they live there and do. They’ll have a concentrated and varied selection and it’s like one stop shopping with minimal lugging and walking. And I don’t have to have more cash … I get invoiced and pay after I return home. I also get little more information on each piece, too. The relationship building is also important. I’ve been graciously invited into homes for meals, and get to see how they live with what they also source. Not surprisingly, their homes are lovely and inspiring. Sourcing a wider array of venues allows me to bring home an ever wider array and diverse selection of antique furnishings and decor … for you !

Our container gets packed this week… another step closer to arrival. Meanwhile, shop is back to appointments as I prepare for the Christmas season, and after a week out due to illness, finally get in the warehouse to unwrap our latest arrivals that were delivered while in Europe ! Christmas twice. Anything y’all are hoping to see? 🤗B

Oktoberfest Saturday ! We are open 10-3 and offering 26% discount off all fall decor, plus there will be refreshments, and all $50 purchases entered into a giveaway for German b**r stein. Depending on intensity of the weather if it looks unsafe, we may close early … for now it looks like a little rain. Due to some Oktoberfest cancellations and scheduling for next week, we may also open next Saturday as a make up, so will keep you posted ! Come on out and start or finish your fall decorating and get your home ready for the holidays 🤗B

Oktoberfest week continues ! Merchant day Saturday and we are open 10-3! 26% fall decor, $50 purchases or more get you entered to win a German b**r stein, refreshments! Avery will be shop girl for the day and I’ll try to pop in … but I’m still recovering from whatever “is going around” that I probably brought back from Europe. The least favorite thing to bring back I tell ya ! And stormy weather? Let’s hope our parade doesn’t get rained on to badly! Unless it’s unsafe, come out and enjoy supporting your local small businesses and enjoy some festivities ! We will also consider opening October 17th should the weather take a turn tomorrow !

Hard to believe that only 5 days ago for over two weeks I was walking stairs, cobblestones, more stairs, markets, Brocantes , deballages , even more stairs and dealer warehouses sourcing for another container of European antiques ! Office time this week working the processing of all our goods …. Not as much fun or exercise, but one step closer to getting them to our shops here in Tennessee and Virginia . More sneak peeks soon! Until then, the shop is open Saturday October 10 for Oktoberfest in Loretto; our space in Columbia Antique Marketplace is open Tuesday through Sunday and we open by appointment! Make sure you check out Fee Lynn and Blackberry Lane for their sneak peeks, too!

Monday was reset space day at Columbia Antique Marketplace which was a little hot mess with me being gone three weeks ! But, new things brought in, spruced up and ready for your visits this week !

Sorry … not sorry! Truly one of my favorite perks (and there are many) of my European antique sourcing trips is the food and drink ! I do get “fooded out” after two and three weeks of eating so well, but I do eat and drink well in France 🇫🇷, Belgium 🇧🇪 and Netherlands 🇳🇱. My fave? Belgium! So, teaser pics of some food we enjoyed on the trip ! Presentation is also amazing ! We work hard, but when it’s time to start in the morning, and stop in the evening, we enjoy our company while tasting some of Europe’s best food and drink ! The art of European gastronomy! What’s your favorite food to enjoy in Europe ? Tell me ! 🤗B
