What I love most about hosting workshops - people from all different backgrounds, coming in, not knowing what to expect or have experience, and creating something brand new together. Strangers become friends, a tiny community forms, and everyone ends up cheering each other on as each piece gets revealed. ✨

Each design turned out so unique, with everyone’s personality and styles showing through their own pieces.

Bet on myself 🙂‍↕️

Building my small business allowed me to step away from a society that values hierarchy (aka climbing the corporate ladder) and instead chose one that values community, where I’ve been able to grow more intrinsically and extrinsically.

I’m thankful to have met so many people and fellow business owners who share these same values - supporting and growing a beautiful community of local makers/creators and small businesses.

I’m rooting for those who have built, or are dreaming of building their business from scratch. It’s definitely not an easy game, but the many skills gained and lessons learned along the way make it worth it! 🤗

2025 Recap 🌝 I’m very grateful that, although the first few months of this year were very difficult for our SoCal community due to the Eaton fires, that hardship also became a catalyst for new beginnings. As we enter the Year of the Horse, I hope it fuels all of us with renewed strength for 2026. 🐎

2025 marked the 4th year of Mindful Cements, and honestly, it was my most challenging one—both mentally and financially. Even so, I’m thankful to have completed many meaningful projects and shared special moments and events with you all this year, especially after taking a much-needed break from the year before.

I’m so grateful for your continued support, and I can’t wait to see you at Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day 🤍

Thank you for supporting small business this Holiday season 🤍🎄This year hasn’t been the easiest for a lot of small business owners, especially with the increase in cost and events that seemed more unsteady than before. So every order, share, or visit really means a whole lot to us!

What I love most about the holiday season is adding small cozy touches to people’s homes, especially with this year’s collection, I’ve been feeling extra whimsical imagining these pieces in your spaces!

🎄Join us in crafting cozy cement home objects for you or your loved ones this season 🤍. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to mix and pour cement into the silicone molds, play with color & marbling techniques, handpaint cute little objects while waiting for the curing process, and watch your unique pieces unfold. Plus, we have complimentary sips, snacks, holiday-themed plants or flowers for your planters/vases..
And gift wrapping, of course! 🎁

What’s great about cement is that it’s beginner-friendly and doesn’t require any firing or a kiln, so your pieces are ready to take home as soon as you’re done! 🥹

👋 It’s been quiet here, and sorry for this late post. Since the California wildfires, I’ve been navigating a lot of uncertainty about my small business and slowly processing what’s happened over the past two months. I felt uneasy when the pop-up events were postponed, as they have significantly contributed to supporting my business. I tried to figure out quick solutions to see how to pay bills, but I also had a deep desire to contribute to the community. As things have started to improve financially, I feel like it’s the right time to give back. It’s heartbreaking to witness what was built over time and lost so suddenly by forces beyond our control. Like these uncertain times, it reminded me of Covid, in which the essence of Mindful Cements began when I found peace in creating something new—almost as a mindful practice and a way to cope with what was happening. Mindful Cements allowed me to step back into my world and create freely, without overthinking. I hope to bring a sense of calm and ease to your space with the pieces I create. So, I’m offering free (yes new) home goods and a 35% discount for victims to help them rebuild what was lost and hope it can help towards their healing 💝🏡

🎉 Celebrating 51 markets this year! That’s more than double (23 markets) than last year 💪✨
Thank you to everyone who put the effort in supporting my business. This year was a huge leap of faith for me from transitioning my corporate job to running this full-time since August. It wasn’t easy, especially with doubling the workload and facing challenges of the recession / election season, but I felt the start of this journey seems to be worth the effort and have no regrets! 🤞
From early mornings to late nights, every market, every connection I made with my customers and new vendor friends, and every little milestone has made it all worth it. Also, thanks to friends who have helped me set up / run my booths. I’m beyond grateful for your support 🙏❤️
