Wild brawl erupts inside 7/11 as teen dragged across floor by her ankles
A crazy brawl broke out inside a 7-Eleven store in the heart of Hollywood when two suspects violently ambushed a teen college student for her gold chain and battered her friends along the way.

Destiny Valderrama, 18, was attacked at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the store located at 6702 Hollywood Blvd., according to the LAPD.
Valderrama, who had attended a quinceañera earlier that night, told the California Post she came into the store to grab snacks when she was attacked.

A young woman can be seen yanking her to the ground from behind before a male accomplice is seen repeatedly slamming her head against the floor until she lost consciousness.

“My friends tried helping by intervening, and they ended up getting dropped to the floor and dragged as well… I couldn’t even stand up to walk properly out of fear, and I continuously begged the 7/11 workers for help and to call the cops,” she told a journalist from OnScene.TV.
“None of them called or were willing to help and instead kicked us out and told us to leave,” she added.

She told the Post that she filed a police report following the attack, but has yet to hear back. An LAPD spokesperson confirmed that they received the report and that an investigation was ongoing.
Valderrama is currently a second-year student at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills and was coming back from a 15th birthday party with two friends when she was attacked.

She doesn’t know the two suspects who beat her and hopes police can “catch them soon.”

Last month, a group of nearly 20 teens stormed a 7-Eleven in Oakland, looting merchandise and damaging the store before some later returned and tried to force their way back inside.

One worker said a person ripped the store’s metal door handle off and threw it through a glass door, striking the store manager in the face.

Long Island grandmother, 62, with 'a heart of gold' killed in violent attack at home
A beloved grandmother and business owner on the brink of retirement was found murdered in a targeted, violent attack inside her Long Island home this week, according to authorities and reports.

Rachel Frislid, 62, was found unconscious by a family member inside her Sayville home around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department and CBS New York.

Homicide detectives said Frislid was a “victim of violence,” but did not elaborate on the type of injuries she suffered in the assault.

“A family member found her, and it was a short time after the assault occurred,” Suffolk Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina said, per WABC.

Frislid was a cherished businesswoman and mother with a “heart of gold” who was a longtime resident on Pearl Court, according to heartbroken neighbors.

“A heart of gold. Nicest woman you could have ever met. I don’t understand it,” said Eileen Tyznar, president emeritus of the Sayville Chamber of Commerce, told CBS.
“She has a beautiful, beautiful family that she always talks about. Her son and her daughter,” Tyznar said. “And I hope they catch this person.”

When her husband died several years ago, she took charge of the family business, Academy Tent Rentals of Bohemia. Her LinkedIn profile also shows she was a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology, with an associate’s degree in advertising.

Frislid was just with leaders of the St James Chamber of Commerce, who said the bubbly woman was helping to plan their street fair, the outlet reported.

She also worked for the Board of Cooperative Education Services in Suffolk County and volunteered at Deepwells Farm and local historical societies.

Frislid had tragically hoped to retire soon and move to Tennessee, where she could be closer to her daughter and grandchild, the outlet said.
“Now to hear that she’s dead, I’m just, I don’t know what to say, I’m heartbroken,” workplace tenant neighbor Peter Woram said. “Hopefully they find this animal.”

Police have launched a murder probe and stressed that there is no danger to the public, and that the attack appeared targeted.

“We are not ready to discuss any kind of suspects in this yet, but I will say that the residents of this town, Sayville, really have nothing to fear regarding this attack,” Catalina said.
“We do not think this was a random attack. We do believe this was a targeted attack.”

Influencer Jack Doherty, 22, arrested for domestic battery in Florida

Internet personality Jack Doherty was arrested after an alleged domestic dispute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Page Six can confirm.

Online records show the popular streamer and YouTuber, 22, was booked in Broward County on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge on Friday.

Officers responded to a residence in the Riverside Park neighborhood shortly before noon and determined Doherty and a woman were involved in a “physical dispute” inside a home, according to Local 10 News.

Officers noted the woman was uninjured, according to the outlet’s report.

Doherty posed for a mug shot, and he appeared to have a cut on his cheek.

Doherty is being held in Broward County Main Jail with no listed bond as of Friday evening while he waits a pending trial, online records show.

The content creator, who has more than 15 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly 11 million followers on TikTok, was also arrested in Florida in November 2025 for drug possession after allegedly disrupting traffic while recording video for his social media channels.

After he refused to comply with officers at the scene, he was taken into custody, and during a search of his person, officers claimed he had amphetamine and ma*****na on him.

He was also charged with resisting arrest.

Videos of the arrest show Doherty challenging cops to a duel while standing in the middle of a Miami street.

State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s office dropped the cannabis charge completely, and Doherty was accepted into the Miami-Dade County Felony Drug Pre-Trial Diversion Program in March.
To enter this program, Doherty waived his right to a speedy trial and agreed to fulfill all mandatory community program conditions.

As a result of his acceptance, the State Attorney’s Office directed the Clerk of Court to cancel the upcoming May trial and remove the case from the active court calendar.

Following the trial cancellation, Doherty successfully completed the program conditions, prompting the court to issue a final discharge certificate in May, which effectively cleared the path for his charges to be officially dropped without a conviction.

Doherty’s latest arrest comes less than a year after his previous run-in with Florida law enforcement, though that case ultimately ended without a trial or conviction.

The streamer has also made headlines for his personal life.

In October 2025, he and his then-wife, OnlyFans star McKinley Richardson, split after less than a year of marriage, with the breakup becoming public after their relationship and wedding made waves online.

A court date for Doherty regarding his domestic battery charges has not been set.

Man stabbed to death in front of Brooklyn home
A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in Brooklyn on Friday evening, police said.
The victim, identified as Christopher Davey, was attacked around 5:30 p.m. near 882 Albany Avenue in East Flatbush and transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

Police are searching for two suspects last seen fleeing northbound on Albany Avenue in a black sedan.
One suspect was described as wearing a white tank top and jeans.

No arrests have been made as of Friday evening.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional details were immediately available.

Police release video of finding murdered Pennsylvania college student in back of car
Authorities released police bodycam footage Thursday showing the discovery of a Pennsylvania college student’s body that led to the arrest of her boyfriend, who said in court documents that a “demon” told him to stab her.

The boyfriend’s mother, meanwhile, is accused of helping him cover up the crime, according to state police.

Royce Moser, 18, of North Strabane Township, faces a homicide charge in the death of Karoline Heintz, a student at PennWest California University whose body was found Aug. 20 after she failed to return to the southwestern Pennsylvania college, according to a criminal complaint.

Moser said he became angry with Heintz during a conversation in her vehicle in Moser’s driveway and that he had a “demon take over” and tell him to stab her, according to the police affidavit.

A preliminary hearing was held Tuesday for Moser and his mother, Rachel Moser, in Heintz’s death.

An attorney for Royce Moser declined to comment on the charges against him, and a message left for a public defender representing Rachel Moser was not immediately returned.

The 37-minute video released Thursday is from an officer’s body-worn camera. It shows the California, Pennsylvania, police officer walking up to Karoline Heintz’s Jeep in the dark.

The officer points a flashlight inside the back window, yells toward another officer nearby, then gets on his radio.

“Control, I need EMS here right now,” the officer said. “I’ve got an unconscious female in the back of this car right now. Any additional units, any in the available area, please.”

An operator radios back, “Is she breathing?”

“Negative,” the officer responds as sirens are heard in the background. “I’ve got blood everywhere.”

The officer then breaks two windows to gain access inside the vehicle.

“Get someone here now,” he said.

According to the affidavit, Moser said he told Heintz, “wait, I have something for you” before retrieving a knife from his home.
The victim fell out of her vehicle after being stabbed and Moser put her in the back hatch before getting into the driver’s seat.

Moser then asked his mother to follow him to PennWest California University in southwestern Pennsylvania to drop off the vehicle, the affidavit said.

Heintz’s father had asked police to look for his daughter’s vehicle after she failed to return to campus, and indicated an AirTag in the vehicle showed she was in a parking lot, according to a criminal complaint.

The AirTag also indicated Heintz had been at Moser’s home earlier.

Royce and Rachel Moser were later located at Rachel Moser’s residence in Beallsville.

According to the affidavit, Rachel Moser told her son to bathe and change his clothes, which she placed in a washing machine.

She then took the knife and put it in a garbage bag to dispose of in the trash outside her home, according to the affidavit.

The knife was retrieved after investigators obtained a search warrant.

Royce and Rachel Moser both were charged with tampering with evidence, abuse of a co**se and obstruction of justice.

Rachel Moser, 56, also was charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive and criminal use of a communication device.

Their next court appearance is a formal arraignment scheduled for Oct. 13.

Mother and son are being held without bail in the Washington County jail.

Heintz’s family issued a statement asking the public to respect their wishes for privacy.

“This is a parent’s worst nightmare,” the statement said. “It has been devastating for family, friends, and the whole community. Karoline was loved by all. She was a kind, smart, beautiful girl. We want justice for our “sweet” Karoline.”

ICE officer pleads not guilty to lying about Minneapolis shooting involving Venezuelan man

A US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of lying about a January shooting of a Venezuelan man in Minneapolis during the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Christian Castro appeared in a Texas federal court where he faces six charges of making “materially false” statements to investigators, according to federal court documents unsealed Friday.

He turned himself in to authorities Thursday evening.

A judge ordered Castro released on a $75,000 unsecured bond and required him to wear an ankle monitor.

The charges stem from the Jan. 14 shooting of Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, a Venezuelan man who was shot in the leg.

Moments earlier, Castro and his partner attempted to stop a vehicle.

The driver, also a Venezuelan citizen, fled, triggering a foot chase.
Castro caught up to the driver and a physical struggle ensued, according to the indictment.

Sosa-Celis attempted to help the driver, and they both fled into a nearby apartment duplex and shut the door.

Castro drew his service weapon and fired a single shot through the front door, striking Sosa-Celis in the leg, federal prosecutors said.

Two 1-year-old children and two women were inside the home when Castro opened fire, prosecutors added.

In an attempt to justify the shooting, Castro allegedly told investigators he was brutally assaulted by multiple individuals wielding tools, claiming he was hit with a broom and a snow shovel during the confrontation.

He also claimed he was on his back when he fired toward the fleeing men, officials said.

However, video evidence later contradicted those statements, prompting an investigation.

Federal prosecutors said Castro was standing up when he opened fire, and they disputed his claim that he fought the suspect on the ground for three minutes, noting the struggle actually lasted about 11 seconds.
The shooting occurred amid a targeted crackdown on illegal immigration in Minneapolis.

Castro faces separate charges in Minnesota and was previously arrested in Texas in May.

His case has sparked a legal battle involving Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who has refused to extradite him to Minnesota.

Colorado man who was free on bond in wife’s alleged killing is jailed after hit-and-run

A man in Colorado who had been free on a $3 million bond in his wife’s alleged killing was arrested Friday after prosecutors said he got in a hit-and-run crash with two other vehicles in Denver.

Barry Morphew was booked into the Boulder County Jail.

Alamosa County District Judge Amanda Hopkins set a hearing to discuss Morphew’s bond Tuesday, online records show.
Under the terms of his bond set last year, Morphew was not supposed to travel away from home in southern Colorado except for work and other limited circumstances.

He got into the crash involving two other vehicles during a trip to Denver International Airport on Aug. 28, possibly to pick up his daughter, prosecutors said in a court filing.

“To go to the airport for any purpose other than work constitutes a breach of his bond,” read the filing by District Attorney Anne Kelly.

Morphew’s attorneys didn’t immediately respond to phone and email messages seeking comment Friday.

Morphew has pleaded not guilty and faces trial next summer in the death of his wife, who disappeared in 2020.
Suzanne Morphew’s skeletal remains were found off a dirt road in southern Colorado in 2023.

By then, charges against Barry Morphew had been dropped, but he was charged again with first-degree murder in his wife’s death and arrested.

Investigators found no sign of trauma in Suzanne Morphew’s remains but allegedly found traces in her bone marrow of a drug cocktail used to tranquilize wildlife.

Barry Morphew was the only person in the area other than wildlife officials with authorization to use the chemicals, prosecutors allege.

Horror as Tesla crashes near busy LA Trader Joe’s, killing 1 and injuring others
A car crashed into a security stand near a Trader Joe’s in Los Angeles Thursday, killing one and injuring at least four others.

The incident was reported at 1:21 p.m. at the grocery store on the 7900 block of 3rd Street, across the street from The Grove.

There, a 91-year-old woman drove into a security stand in the parking lot of the store.

The driver was in a Tesla and lost control of her vehicle, causing her to hit a parked car and the pedestrians before the white sedan smashed into the pink structure, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Images from the scene showed the white sedan with heavy front-end damage pinned tightly against the partially crushed structure, while emergency crews set up a white canopy over the body of the person who was killed.

Nearby, firefighters could be seen wheeling an older woman away in a wheelchair.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the victim, described only as a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department told The California Post that the other victims were hospitalized.
Those injured included a 19-year-old man who suffered serious injuries and two women ages 30 and 57 with minor injuries.

The driver was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the LAFD said.

No arrest was announced.

Drake Piscione, an eyewitness who lives near the scene of the crash, described the driver’s reaction.

“[The driver] was pretty shell shocked, and she got out she didn’t realize what was happening,” Piscione told ABC. “She said she tried to stop the Tesla, it was accelerating and she couldn’t stop it. She said her foot was on the brake, but it kept going. She got out and couldn’t believe what happened and didn’t realize she had killed someone.”
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass released the following statement:

“I am deeply saddened by the incident outside of the Trader Joe’s near the corner of Fairfax and Third, and my heart goes out to everyone impacted.”

The George Pataki Center is releasing a new documentary chronicling the rebuilding of Ground Zero to honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

“9/11 wasn’t some sort of an accident. It was a terrorist attack carried out by radical Islamists who wanted to take away our freedom and force us to live in fear,” the former Republican Gov., who served during the attacks and whose Albany-based nonprofit is funding the flick, told The Post.
“Out of the Darkness” chronicles the Empire State’s rebuilding process and process to provide a memorial spot for the nearly 3,000 people killed and will be available to screen for free on the center’s website after the Thursday premiere.
John Castimatidis, the billionaire owner of Gristedes supermarkets, will be honoring the former governor with “The Leadership Crisis Award”, recognizing his efforts during and after the attack at an upcoming memorial gala.

“Everybody, not just in New York, but around the country had an opinion as to what should be done,” Pataki said.

“And we had to cut through all those emotions, which was hard to do and just keep our eye on the vision as to what we wanted to end up with there. And it worked out extremely well.”

Missouri House candidate accused of trying to plant co***ne on primary opponent

He crossed the line.

A Republican Missouri state representative candidate was charged Wednesday with trying to plant co***ne on his primary opponent — who he wound up beating by only a few dozen votes.

Thomas Ross, 37, allegedly handed a black glove containing narcotics to his campaign manager — instructing him to stash it on rival candidate Louise Secker’s property in the weeks leading up to the Aug. 4 primary, federal prosecutors announced Thursday.

“The American people deserve confidence in an electoral process that has served our nation for generations,” said R. Matthew Price, US Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, said in a statement.

“Candidates are expected to conduct their campaigns with integrity, honesty, and respect for their opponents, allowing voters to make informed decisions without fear of misinformation or undue influence.”

Ross, of Joplin, went on to narrowly defeat Secker.

Both were vying to replace outgoing state Rep. Lane Roberts.
Ross was charged with conspiring to distribute a controlled substance.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Associated Press.

Missouri GOP Chairman Peter Kinder called on Ross to withdraw his bid for the 161st House District, describing the allegations surrounding his arrest as “serious” and “deeply troubling.”

The former campaign manager told authorities that Ross gave him a nylon glove containing co***ne and Adderall, instructing him to plant it in Secker’s purse or vehicle.

Tests later showed that the substances tested positive for the drugs.

Ross sent his campaign manager frequent messages about “the substance,” telling him that he hoped “that we could make it happen” before Secker attended a Republican women’s meeting at a Joplin restaurant in June.
The drug-planting plot would be an “extreme egg in the face” said Ross, according to the FBI document.
