Spring has quietly arrived🌱☀️
Days get longer. Plans change.
The tote carries everything and more — swimwear, towels, what the day requires. The crossbody keeps things close. The clutch holds the essentials.

Designed to follow the rhythm of the day —
not the season❤️

LA’s neighborhoods feel like worlds within one city 🌴✨

From the colorful walls of Melrose to the laid-back vibes of Venice and the iconic streets of Silver Lake—each area has its own energy, its own rhythm, its own story.

Just like my new favorites from brittmariekbh.com ☀️🫶

Ulrika Eythorsson

As Senior Production Manager at Carlsberg, she operates across complex international productions — a field defined by shifting demands and constant adjustment, where precision and decision-making are essential.

This year, she is also part of the YDA jury.

What stands out to me is her approach.
Grounded in intuition and a clear aesthetic.
Decisions come from experience rather than noise. From knowing what works — and what doesn’t — without needing to follow what’s current.

There’s a consistency to that.
A quiet confidence.

Ulrika is a dear friend of mine, and she has been carrying britt_marie_kbh bags for years.

Not chosen for a moment, but kept over time.

For me, that’s where design holds value.
Not in trends.
But in what endures.

Frank Lloyd Wright built the Hollyhock House around a single idea — the hollyhock flower.

The motif appears again and again in the architecture: in the concrete details, the proportions, the rhythm of the spaces.
The repetition gives the building a strong identity.

What I find inspiring is this commitment to a limited language. Walking through the house, you quickly notice the discipline behind the design.

I love this approach!

Rather than constantly introducing new forms, I try to return to a small set of principles — material, proportion, and repetition.
Our bags are shaped through adjustments rather than reinvention.

Similar to Wright’s architecture, the intention is that the work gains depth through consistency. Through staying with an idea long enough for it to become clear.

Walking through Hollyhock House is a reminder that strong design doesn’t come from complexity — it comes from clarity, repetition, and time.

Principles that guide every piece at britt_marie_kbh.

Today is International Women’s Day, and as my daughter turns 10, I find myself thinking about the kind of world she will grow into.
A world where the work of women — whether in studios, workshops, homes, or businesses — is seen, valued, and respected.

Today is therefore a perfect moment to acknowledge the women who shaped the spaces we move through.
In studios. In workshops. In homes. In conversations.

The work I do is shaped by many women before me — designers, makers, artists, and thinkers who insisted on their place in fields that were not always built for them. Their presence made space.
Through persistence and the courage to keep working, even when recognition came slowly.

International Women’s Day is a reminder that creative practice is not only about what we produce, but about the conditions that allow us to create.

Today feels like a small but meaningful intersection of those worlds.
Women who carry knowledge forward. And a young girl just beginning to find her own way.❤️
