The rule of three. One of the first things I was taught while studying architecture was ‘Scale’. Scale is tremendously important when designing a building as it effects the way we feel in a given space. Though, if you don’t consider scale in your daily life, it can be very difficult to comprehend when designing. Similarly, styling your coffee table or bookshelf is all about proportion & scale - Tall/small, heavy/light, light/shadow. Sticking to three objects of varying heights and shapes when placed together is the key to maintain that balance. ✨
