Working on a new idea,using all the typical ingredients I normally go to which is a little Vintage, a little Ethnic Fabric and unruly fiber.
Yeah, that’s it. Some appliqué some embroidered. And we’ll see where I land.

Diving back into the Norse Goddess Textile Art Piece with the first experimental “Thread Frame” idea. (2 inches takes 1 hour ). The subject matter was recently discussed because of the newly finished art work titled Copper Power my 3rd piece incorporating the “Thread Frame”.

COPPER POWER … a mixed media, soft sculpture of Venus. Composed of copper pennies, a large copper medallion, metallic & fine copper threads. The background is a Vintage Hmong Fabric piece.
Copper bridges the physical and spiritual realms. It is connected to Healing, Love (Venus)and mental clarity, it is believed to activate the root and sacral chakras-enhancing stability, balance, and vitality.

Hi all! Currently experimenting with Copper colored Silk threads and metal metallic threads in a textile piece inspired by Pennies. About halfway there, but there's a lot more work to be done before I’m satisfied with the final result.

A Penny for your thoughts? OK, sorry I can’t help it. Meet Penny my newest playground with textiles and other objects. Background fabric is from Vintage Hmong clothing scraps. The pennies are recycled as well.😂 I found Copper metallic embroidery thread to use on this piece.
