Feeling nostalgic. Making Thit Kho with my first puppy. She was probably 10 weeks old.
One of the questions I got asked on the cookbook panel was what was it like during the process. This was the tail end of the cookbook process 😆 luckily the last recipes I needed to photograph were ones I had already cooked by heart.
It was absolutely chaotic! 😆 and yes it was worth every moment. I love that I got to write this cookbook with my parents and that so many people who I love were apart of this effort. I have so many memories associated with this cookbook.
I would work my full time job, I would then do as much as I could after work until 2am and sleep in my office some days and then restart.
My puppy would wonder what’s going on over there and why she can’t eat any of it while my husband was trying to sleep upstairs and I would photograph at midnight because that’s when I was done testing and cooking.
The dishes were everywhere and piled high.
The weekdays were stressful but the weekends were so much fun getting to dabble and immerse myself in the world of cooking and writing.
One regret was that it wasn’t possible to get a picture of Gouda in there. I tried so hard but she would not stay still. 😆
I know I am going to get some grief as a new dog owner. However, I have learned so much about dogs since then. 🫶
Anyways I am so glad I filmed so many BTS to look back on. Thank ya all for your support!
You can still buy the book link in bio.
