Busy week back at MWD 💫 a little behind the scenes

Turns out dropping your kid off at college has one perk 😂

A little tennis, a lot of trains, lakes, mountains, pasta, w**e, getting lost, finding our way… and remembering that after all these years, we still really like traveling together❤️

Studio moments that feel collected, layered, and deeply personal. A glimpse from the lounge into the music room where art, sound, texture, and atmosphere all come together. The monumental wall mural creates an immersive backdrop while the handcrafted African coffee table grounds the space with warmth and soul. Every detail was designed to feel creative, intimate, and unforgettable.

The sitting room of this music studio was designed like an extension of the music itself.
Layered. Moody. Atmospheric.

To create that feel I had an artist’s original painting reinterpreted as a large-scale wallpaper installation, transforming the entire room into an atmosphere rather than just a space.

I’m always drawn to spaces defined by rich materials, earthy tones, and sculptural forms that feel both grounded and compelling.

Air. Space. Breath.
A home doesn’t need more to feel complete
It needs the right things, held in balance
Grounded materials, soft light, and a single moment of color with movement and quite but beautiful materials

For a client drawn to California ease and wanted their home to feel effortless.

In Malibu the views and landscape lead

The goal was to re create this landscape into something warm and grounded that sits naturally within the setting. And creating a series of spaces with the landscape including this step down fire pit seating area centered in the yard, a place to gather, unwind, and take in the view.

Beautifully brought to life in collaboration with .

Nowruz Mobarak 🌱

This year feels so different. A much deeper sense of gratitude, pride in where I come from, and hope that means more than ever before and defines hope!

To my family, and to the people of Iran… always in my ♥️
