Last week I had the lovely pleasure of participating in ‘Designers Who Cook’, a special evening hosted by The Luxury Kitchen in partnership with Sub-Zero, Wolf & Cove.
In lieu of the celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, we shared an evening filled with Persian music, poetry, culture, music, and of course beautiful food. I prepared and shared some of the dishes I grew up with, rich with saffron, herbs, citrus, and the flavors that define Persian cuisine.
Guests enjoyed an incredible performance by the psychedelic Persian sounds of Shaheri Music, a traditional Haft-Seen table welcoming the arrival of spring, and a room full of people gathered to experience Persian hospitality and tradition.
A truly special night celebrating culture, storytelling, and the joy of gathering around a table. It was magical and a night I’ll remember. I truly appreciate seeing our design community embrace voices and traditions from different backgrounds. It makes the conversation richer for everyone.
