A little murder, a little mystery, and some delightfully deadly competition! 👸🏼👑🔪✨

We had the absolute BEST time at the Death Valley Beauty Pageant at Tarrytown House Estates Hotel! An evening filled with mystery, incredible costumes, and so much fun.

As someone who lives and works in this community, I absolutely love supporting local venues and events, especially when they put together something this unique and memorable. 🖤

And to top off an already amazing evening, I WON THE COSTUME CONTEST! 👑🧜‍♀️ My prize? A one-night stay at the estate, complete with breakfast for two the following morning. Talk about a perfect excuse to come back!

I love seeing events like this happening right here in our community, and I hope they continue for years to come. We’ll absolutely be back next year, and I already have some ideas for how to top this costume! 🎭

P.S. For anyone interested, my mermaid gown is now for sale at Trilogy Consignment! It’s labeled a size 14, but for reference, I’m typically a size 6 and it fit me loosely. So there’s definitely some flexibility with sizing! 🧜‍♀️💕

Welcome to Derry, Maine. 🎈🎪

Some people decorate for Halloween. We apparently decided to turn our entire house into a Stephen King nightmare.

This year’s display is also a little homage to the legendary Tim Curry, whose portrayal of Pennywise in the original IT forever changed the way we look at clowns. 🤡❤️

And before anyone asks… NOT AI. 😂 This is our actual house, our actual Halloween display, and a completely unreasonable amount of dedication to spooky season.

And the best part? This is just the beginning. We’ve got plenty more nightmares up our sleeves, and more decorations are coming soon. Stay tuned. 🎈

A little drama never hurt a bathroom 🖤

For this Tarrytown bathroom renovation, we embraced rich blue-gray millwork, bold abstract wallpaper, warm wood tones, and unlacquered brass accents. The mix of traditional architectural details and unexpected patterns creates a space that feels both timeless and a little unconventional.

Because functional spaces deserve just as much personality as the rest of the home.

This kitchen has a little more of me in it than most projects.

When I moved to New York, my husband had to stay behind in Los Angeles for work, so I made the move across the country on my own. I didn’t know anyone in town, I was taking on a new space above my design studio, and somewhere along the way, the contractor I hired completely ghosted me.

So, I started doing the demo myself.

I spent a lot of time upstairs tearing things apart, uncovering what was underneath, and figuring out how to bring this old space back to life. Eventually, I found a wonderful contractor who understood what I was trying to create and helped me turn the vision I had in my head into the kitchen it is today.

I wanted it to feel like it had always belonged here—not a brand-new kitchen dropped into an old building, but a new chapter for the space. Something with character, warmth, history, and just enough moodiness.

Looking at it now, I think about so much more than the before and after. I think about arriving in a town where I knew no one, doing demo upstairs by myself, and slowly building a home, a studio, a business, and a life here.

There’s something pretty special about bringing new life into an old space while, in a way, doing the same thing for yourself.

We’ll be hosting a costume contest for guests channeling the most iconic cleavage or famous breasts in history — from high fashion to pop culture and everything in between. Creativity strongly encouraged 🎭

More details coming soon on fundraising efforts, themed drinks, and ways to support breast cancer awareness. All are welcome!
