Et voilà! This actually only took me an hour and a half but I forgot to post again last night XD. Yes, everything from the bags AND MORE is in these boxes, color-coded and rolled to minimize wrinkling.

Attention! What you are about to see should not be attempted without OCD supervision! So what is this? These are my leggings and tights - as you can see they’ve gotten a little out of hand (foot for scale). I am now going to attempt... to organize them...

Next step. You know, I’m realizing that my not learning how to do my own makeup might have had less to do with my mother being a tomboy and more to do with one of my eyes being nearsighted and the other one farsighted....

And you are now joining me halfway through my first ever makeup tutorial - as in, I’m watching somebody else because I never learned how to do my own makeup properly. We’re on YOUTUBE channel doing “Blending for Beginners,” which is what I am. A beginner.

I will be the first to admit that cooking is not my strongest skill... it’s not even really a skill at all - but I wanted to try this recipe for oven-baked mushroom “French fries”

Comparison of the one door I’ve finished sanding and the one I still have to sand (or peel) - I rounded out all the edges because this is the “kids’ section” of the library.

Ugh - I spent all this time sanding off this paint, only to find out it was a matte held down by a few pieces of tape.

I finally caved and got an electric sander! I love it!

This is still part of the library construction - I had the opportunity to have a little cupboard underneath for children's books, but I couldn't find one that was unfinished, so there I was. It was difficult to disassemble to begin with, which was necessary if I wanted to ensure that it would be weatherproof when I put it outside (it was originally meant as a kitchen cabinet), and then I just didn't seem to be making any headway with sanding paper, I'm on my third or fourth hour of sanding this one finished surface, but the electric sander is really helping. I've been watching Saiki K (Netflix original series) while sanding, and it's become quite relaxing.

Also, did my first reupholstry, but no big deal (all it took was a staple gun!)

I used to cringe when I thought about reupholstering anything - so much detail, so many curves and edges. But one day I found this chair on the side of the road (why yes, I am a proud roadside scavenger), so I brought it home. It needed more cushioning to be a chair I would ever sit in, so I cut out some memory foam from an old mattress pad and decided to see what I could do about it - I turned the chair over and behold! STAPLES! At first I thought, "This is cheating..." but that stopped bothering me after I got my first staple gun.

Most bottoms of furniture, at least, are constructed this way - if that little lining on the bottom of your bed-frame, couch, or chair is drooping, use a staple gun to give it a quick lift! It's much easier to put things under there, and no worries of cats hiding up under the lining! (That I know from personal experience - I couldn't believe my "Rubanesque" Miss Dinah Mae got under the lining of my bed to hide from me!)
