I love them both so much, but I can only choose one!
I really can’t decide! I absolutely love both of these rings and my brain is completely split 50/50 right now. Which one should I choose?

Flaw in ring or am I the most unlucky person in the world?
I just noticed my eternity band is missing a diamond. I work in healthcare and get to wear my rings MAYBE three times a week. The second picture is my original engagement ring from the same jeweler. About 6 months in it also lost a diamond in the hidden halo. Both of these were purchased from diamonds direct. I have zero complaints about the company. The customer service was perfect but we went with them because as first time buyers - we were clueless what we were doing. Are all eternity bands prone to this or could this be the cause of a possible design flaw? Laziness?

Just upgraded my ring what do we think of this stone?
Hi friends I just got my push present upgrade. Went from a D VVS2 3.32 to a E VS1 5.50. Slightly worried now that’s it’s set that my new stone isn’t as shiny, maybe slightly darker even though it’s an E and has a bigger bow tie but I’m thinking that’s because it’s a way bigger stone and I’m used to it. Need some helpful opinions

Engagement Ring Broke!
My original engagement ring Broke! The original jeweler absolutely Refused to do Anything at all to help! Nothing! I am so Thankful for a local, hometown jeweler from 6 1/2 hours away from where our jobs have us, in our home town. They saved my engagement ring! Well part of it. The ring it’s self could not be fixed bc the entire basket broke off of the top middle after only wearing it for 6 weeks bc it was made with no support on the sides what so ever! Our hometown jeweler found a setting that was as close to the original design as possible, but Saved the 3ct diamond on top! That’s the important part. They gave us a great price and even gave us a deep discount since we’re returning customers from the past and for all of the trouble we’ve had to go through. I’m so sad for my original ring, but they made things right even though they were not the ones who sold the original ring to us!

Really happy with my ring
We started designing it together and after we decided the basics, my fiancé took over with the designer. We both liked a lot of art deco designs and I also liked some more organic bands. I’m so happy with where they ended up.

The center stone is 1.78 kt I believe and asscher cut. It’s a lab diamond, something I was insistent on.

Ring size 7.5.

Engagement ring broke after 6 days — jeweler saying it’s my fault?
Hi everyone! I’m looking for honest opinions because I’m trying to understand if this is normal or something I should push back on.

EDIT: The warping shape is from me pushing it tighter after I noticed the break in the band so it wouldn’t fall off. There wasn’t any moment where I hit it on something but I guess I could’ve snagged it on something??

I recently got engaged and my ring has a ~5 carat diamond on a thin band (around 1.5mm). I originally requested a plain gold band that was 1.8 mm (should’ve gone even thicker) but the ring I received was thinner with pave diamonds that I didn’t order either.

I’ve only had the ring for 6 days, and it broke unexpectedly while I was just wearing it. No impact, no dropping, nothing unusual. I guess I could’ve snagged it on something unknowingly but I didn’t even notice the break until my friend pointed it out on my finger.

When I brought it back, the employee told me that this type of damage is caused by impact and directly said it would not happen without something like that.

That’s what’s confusing me because from my perspective, it broke under normal wear. Now I’ve been reading that thinner bands (especially with pave) may not be ideal for larger stones, so I’m wondering if this could actually be a structural/design issue.

EDIT: my fiancé picked up the final ring without me and I did not see it until he proposed. He didn’t know the band was wrong so he confirmed it looked okay and paid his remaining balance.

They’re currently reviewing it with regional management, but I’d really appreciate any insight:

• Is 1.5mm with pave too delicate for a stone this size?

• Should a ring break after only 6 days of normal wear?

• Has anyone had something similar happen, and did your jeweler take responsibility?

Thank you so much in advance! I really appreciate any input!

Joining the club!
My boyfriend fiancé and I went ring shopping at the end of February and picked one out. I knew it wouldn’t arrive until April, so I definitely wasn’t expecting him to propose the following weekend. He used a stand in blue raspberry ring pop (about 200 carats lol).

But Yesterday the ring arrived and I love it. 😍 It is a cushion diamond. I knew I wanted low profile and solitaire.

I have realized I don’t know how to photograph a hand. So here is the post-manicure pic, the side profile, the pre-manicure pic, and required inspection pic.

HELP!! A prong broke and I cant decide how to go about repairing my ring
So the other day I was drying my hands and a prong got tangled up in a tiny little thread and I didn’t notice so I walked away and it YANKED out and broke the prong. Now Im paranoid and feel like I need a more secure setting (Like bezel). Tell me your opinions on which option I should do, or if I should just have the prong repaired and call it a day. Thanks!

Ring broke in one day
I worked with a local jeweler for a custom engagement ring. I came in with a design in mind and reference photos. It was a 4 month process before the ring was finalized. The ring is a channel setting with 12 baguette diamonds, all lab grown. This is a dream ring for me and was thrilled at how it turned out. A single baguette diamond broke the day after picking up the ring and I stopped wearing it after that. I was not wearing any other rings and it was roughly 8 hours of wear total. The gold itself is now severely beat up and has a hammered look, however only on the side of the ring with the broken baguette. Other 14k jewelry I’ve had for years does not look this worn down. The jeweler is replacing the baguette for free but mentioned it will cost them $1.9k. The total cost of the ring, excluding the center stone, was roughly $6k so this seems high for a single baguette plus labor. They repeatedly asked what activities I did and shared stories of customers who mistakenly and unknowingly damaged their rings. They did not blame me but declined it being a craftsmanship issue and said let’s chalk it up to a faulty diamond. When I picked up the ring I was told to get insurance for loss and theft and their in-store care plan which covers craftsmanship issues. When I brought in the broken ring, they advised me against getting their in-store care plan and said it’s not necessary the ring was made perfectly. It was my first day with the ring so I was especially careful with it. I don’t understand what I possibly could have done to have broken a diamond and damaged a ring this much in less than one day. Is it possible it’s a craftsmanship issue or do I need to be way more careful going forward?
