Señor Amor began his design career with his partner Jonona at the boutique design firm Jonamor Décor. Jonona was the Principal Designer and Señor was the Associate Designer and Project Manager. Together, from their Hollywood vintage furniture store Retropia, they designed both commercial and residential projects including lofts, condos, recording studios, and single-family homes. Two of Jonamor Décor’s projects were featured in the Clarkson Potter book “The Find: The Housing Works Book of Decorating with Thrift Shop Treasures, Flea Market Objects, and Vintage Details.” Their work was also featured in The Los Angles Times.
Señor moved to Austin, TX where –among other things, he worked with Interior Designer Jan Mahaffey at It’s Faux Real Interiors; and oversaw the rebranding to Austin Kitchen Design.
Since moving back to Los Angeles, Señor recently worked with former Jonamor Décor client, comedian/singer/ writer, Jackie Beat. A house first built in 1924 was quickly remodeled into a Post Modern/Brutalist Masterpiece home - that is soon to be featured in an internationally recognized newspaper.
For Señor a good designer understands the aesthetic and functional goals of his client; and then realistically and expeditiously translates them into reality in such a way that achieves all of their dreams and desires.
