I think we narrowed down the countertop and backsplash colorway options for Kitchen 3 at Hollywood 2. We will be heading to Cosentino tomorrow to confirm the stone. I am loving the red-purple color we picked for the cabinets! Stay tuned!!

I took my Hollywood 2 client to one stone yard yesterday and we picked out slabs for the countertops for the main kitchen, kitchen 5, bath 5 vanity and trim pieces for the shower and also the main kitchen island countertop and possibly the powder room sink stone. The Stone Industry, Inc.
We also ordered the tile for the floor in bath 2 and kitchen 2 and the feature wall for bath 3 all from Badia Design.

More progress at Hollywood 2:
-The showers in Baths 4 and 5 are almost done. Each bathroom will have a different color story
-The bathtub for Bath 3 was brought into the house and dry fit for the drain
-Macario the tile setter working his magic
-Miguel came to measure for Kitchens 3 and 4. Each kitchen will its own color story

Progress at Hollywood 2.
-Rough plumbing is 99% complete
-Tile setting happening in Bath 5
-Top level ceiling supports getting fixed, insulation in, floors leveled, rough electrical and plumbing done
-Low voltage wiring done
-Framing done
-Windows measured, need to order those

For today's .... we are visiting Alhambra 1 which is officially complete and I have to say the kitchen looks pretty great. We took a wall down and reconfigured the space to open it up and make it fit in this Spanish home. We changed every finish from the floor to the appliances and the clients can now be proud not only of the kitchen but also the dining room and breakfast nook. Countertops in the kitchen have been installed at Alhambra and lighting continues to be installed as well. Backsplash will start on Thursday after the nook cabinets are completed. I love the new island!! We are almost finished!

The client picked a new GC and work has picked up fast and furious at Hollywood 2. Rough plumbing and electrical is getting redone, framing is done, HVAC will start soon subfloors are getting fixed and we are already starting to order more finishes. WooHoo!

So, every once in a blue moon, there is a mishap on a project involving a finish material that requires immediate remediation, and at Alhambra, unfortunately, this is one of those times. An issue with the original saltillo floor that was recently laid couldn't be corrected no matter what avenue we took. In the end, the contractor decided the only solution was to completely remove the newly laid tile and start again. We ordered new tile from Tierra y Fuego Tiles in San Diego, and we are currently laying it again in the entry, dining room, kitchen, and breakfast nook. I am hoping that once this is grouted, we can get the cabinets installed next. Stay tuned!!

Some of the trees in front of the house desperately needed to be trimmed or cut at Hollywood 2 and glad it was finally done. Doing this not only exposes more of the home but also helps prevent damage to the home and property. We will be starting work back up on this project soon with a new contractor. Stay tune!!
