Slow Cooker General Tso's Chicken Recipe
⭐ Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- 3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
⭐ Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chicken broth, rice vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Place chicken pieces in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Stir to coat the chicken evenly in the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, stir the chicken gently and serve over cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions.
