Talk about a breathe of fresh air. This original 1970s kitchen was so unnecessarily cramped with the weird Formica countertop and ceiling mounted cabinets. This is a great example of thinking about maximizing room usage in a small space. We opened up the view between the living room and the kitchen and added a massive amount of new countertop storage complete with countertop seating. And what do you think about those *ahem* pre-fab cabinets. Normally that color would be pretty hideous but paired with our remnant marble pieces and unique layout they actually look way more expensive than they were. I love how we built the cabinet tower next to the fridge by stacking wall mounts and putting them directly on the countertop. We did so many fun and creative things in this small space this is really just the tip of the iceberg.
