It’s October 7th AGAIN

Three years ago we were watching, waiting, trying to make sense of the images, the way it was being perceived. The way it still is.

We had a close family member in town from Israel. We asked her what we can do to help. What was the greatest need? She said mental health and three years later she is unfortunately still right.

Just a few days ago, we were once again talking to a family member in town from Israel. She experienced antisemitism first hand on her flight here in the US. It’s not getting better we are just in our own bubble. We asked her what she sees every day where she lives and the answer was exactly what we feared. Israel is in a state of depression.

It’s been three years and we are exactly where we started.

AVA’S LUNCHEON 🥯🩷

For a quick lunch after Ava’s Bat Mitzvah service, we really wanted to keep it simple + cost effective but still fun / on brand with a few unexpected surprises. What were the highlights? Luxurious custom kippot and cocktail napkins, a mix of our fav bagels Western Bagel iykyk and the most stunning toppings and fruit grazing boards, gorgeous florals that we were able to use again at night, OLIPOP and branded Crumbl cookies.

This high holidays, I had not one but two opportunities to set my table beautifully and host family + friends. As Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are only ten days apart, I was able to repurpose florals but put a new spin on my previous set up, opting for indoor and a bit more formal. Loving how it turned out!
