Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque
Rich, creamy, and packed with seafood goodness, this bisque is perfect for a cozy night in. 🦀🍤 With simple ingredients and easy steps, you'll have a restaurant-quality dish right at home. Serve it with crusty bread for the ultimate indulgence!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups seafood stock (or chicken stock)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 green onion, finely sliced for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
2. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
3. Slowly whisk in seafood stock, ensuring no lumps form. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
4. Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream and milk, stirring well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Add shrimp and crab meat, cooking for 3–4 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
7. Stir in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning if needed.
8. Serve hot, garnished with green onion and extra parsley. Enjoy! 🍲✨
