Sometimes the original charm is hiding underneath decades of updates 👀

When my clients purchased this historic Craftsman, many of the home’s original wood details had been painted over, and previous renovations had stripped away much of its character. Our goal from day one was to uncover what was already there and thoughtfully restore the spirit of the home.

We brought back warm wood tones, embraced richer color choices, and added built-ins inspired by the Craftsman philosophy of form meeting function. The result feels less like a renovation and more like a return to what the house was always meant to be 💛

Finally sharing one of my favorite projects to date: my Campbell Craftsman!

This historic home had much of its original charm stripped away over the years, but thanks to my wonderful clients, we were able to bring so much of its character back to life.

Lots of fun before and afters coming soon, but for now, here are a few of my favorite moments from around the house💛

Special thanks to my amazing crew who brought this one to life:

One year ago, I posted a video that unexpectedly took off. (Truth be told, I didn’t even really want to post it… but I did anyway😅)

Sure, some cool opportunities came from it, but the biggest thing I gained was proof that most of the things we talk ourselves out of doing aren’t nearly as scary as we make them out to be!!

I think a lot of people put content creation on a pedestal, but at the end of the day, it’s just sharing your perspective. That’s it.

You don’t need to know exactly where it’s going to lead. You just have to start!

So if you’ve been thinking about posting, launching the thing, sharing your work, or putting yourself out there in some way, consider this your sign.

Done is better than perfect.

Because honestly, what’s the worst that happens? Three people like it and your mom leaves a comment? We can survive that😜

Renters: another thing to add to your arsenal - hardware upgrades!

Landlords always seem to have questionable taste when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, and one of the easiest ways to elevate those spaces is by swapping out the hardware. There are so many great options on , vintage finds on , and even is known for a good k**b.

Add this to your renter upgrade checklist:

✔️ Light fixture swaps
✔️ Painting the walls (and ceilings!)
✔️ Upgrading your hardware

What renter-friendly design challenges do you need solutions for next?

Hot take: not every chair needs to look like it belongs in a boutique hotel lobby where no one is allowed to touch anything.

When choosing seating, I always tell clients to start with one question: how do you actually want to live in the space??

Do you entertain constantly? Need a spot to rot in front of the TV after work? Do you have kids, pets, or a partner who somehow spills everything? 👀 Your chair choices should reflect that ….not just a  photo you saved on a Pinterest board.

A few practical design tips I always consider:
• performance fabric vs. “pretty but precious”
• upright seating vs. loungey comfort
• statement pieces that still function in real life
• and yes… sometimes the recliner is the right answer

Sharing some favorites that prove practical can still be very, very chic.

It’s all measurements, shopping and reset photos 😅

If you’ve been here for a second you know I won’t S**U about why you need to paint your space! Renters, let me tell you that this is quite literally one of the cheapest and easiest ways to add BIG impact.

Ask for forgiveness and NOT permission and paint your walls (and dare I say ceilings???) today!
