YOUJUNG CHOI — HAVE YOU EATEN?
A Special Presentation at Studio Kō

In Korea, “Have you eaten? (밥 먹었어?)” is often more than a question about food. It’s a familiar way of expressing care and checking in on someone.

We’re happy to share a new collection of glass works by Youjung Choi, an artist whose work we’ve been presenting at Studio Kō for the past five years.

Titled Have You Eaten?, this special presentation brings together new vessels inspired by the warmth of a simple question, with colors and textures drawn from rice and the changing seasons.

We look forward to sharing these new works with you next week!

I know they’re called Silver Ball Cups, but… dimple cups? 🙈

Made using glassblowing techniques, the Silver Ball Cups layer soft blue-green glass within clear glass. Drawing from Yai Ji Kim’s background in metalwork, sterling silver accents are embedded into the glass, bringing the two founders’ material practices together in a single piece.

Showroom open today, 12–4 PM.
Also available at studioko.la.

Mist Glass Footed Plate by Multeo

ø120 x 45 mm | ø4.72 × 1.77 in

Made using glassblowing techniques, this plate was created to capture the quiet, dewy landscape of a tea garden. Only the exterior surface is given a semi-matte finish, creating a soft appearance reminiscent of a light mist, while the clear and transparent interior evokes the freshness of morning dew.

Suitable for serving tea snacks, desserts, simple side dishes, and more. The clear interior makes it easy to serve food and clean after use, while allowing the food to stand out for a beautiful presentation.

The soft, semi-matte exterior creates a warm atmosphere and a smooth tactile feel, while also helping to minimize visible fingerprints.

A small restock of Nina Mastiff’s Wobbly series is now available at Studio Kō.🤍

Nina Mastiff is a Korean American multimedia illustrator and ceramicist whose work explores childhood nostalgia through playful, organic forms. Shaped by growing up between cultural influences from South Korea, Sweden, and Hawaii, her work carries a sense of humor, warmth, and familiarity.

Her Wobbly mugs and bowls have been longtime favorites at Studio Kō, loved for their irregular shapes and expressive use of color.

A small selection is now back in stock, in store and online.

New at Studio Kō — MULTEO (물터)

Founded in Korea by metal artist Yai Ji Kim and glass artist Sang Jun Choi, MULTEO brings together two distinct craft practices through objects for tea and the everyday table.

The two artists met while studying craft at Cheongju University and spent nearly four years developing the idea for MULTEO around a shared belief that tea doesn’t need to be formal or ceremonial—it can simply be part of everyday life.

Kim’s background in metalwork and her experience working in tea rooms inform the function and details of each design, while Choi brings the forms to life through glassblowing. The result is glassware that feels considered without feeling precious—made to be held, poured from, shared, and used often.

We’re excited to introduce MULTEO to Studio Kō through a selection of works from their Mist and Silver Ball collections.

Now available in store and online at Studio Kō.
