Another project showcasing the versatility of our Bespoke European Aged Oak. From elongated, elegant parquet to a shorter, more compact format, each floor can be made to suit the architecture of the space. Here, the oak brings a classical balance underfoot — quietly full of character, texture and warmth, without trying too hard.

“The quietness of working with my hands, the absence of overthinking, the art of shaping and unveiling the wood’s most soulful narratives. I found all this profoundly peaceful and immensely gratifying.” — The Re:claimed Book

The beauty of this Antique Oak lies in its imperfections — the textured grain, subtle shifts in colour and marks left by more than 250 years of use.

Each piece is carefully selected, then hand-worked in our workshop to preserve that character while creating a refined, balanced finish. Available in bespoke sizes and engineered panel designs.

Our first Oru prototype was made from timber recovered from a submerged forest. Preserved underwater in low-oxygen conditions, the wood has survived for decades before being recovered, dried and handcrafted in our Cheshire workshop. It will be on display at Decorex as part of The Submerged Wood Collection.

Our first finished prototype: the Oru chair. Handcrafted in our Cheshire workshop, Oru is an early expression of what The Sunken Wood Collection can become — shaped into bespoke furniture and joinery through collaboration, or supplied as timber for designers and makers to create something entirely their own.

We’ve just received the first pieces from our new Sunken Wood collection at our workshop in Cheshire, and Kris was so excited he immediately began working on the first prototypes for Decorex. Recovered from submerged forests rather than newly felled, these timbers bring with them a remarkable story, extraordinary character, and the chance to work with species that are increasingly difficult to source through traditional forestry. With more than 35 species identified, Sunken Wood opens up an extraordinary range of possibilities. Unique furniture pieces are only one expression of what the collection can become, alongside flooring, cladding, joinery, exterior applications, yachts, and bespoke architectural elements.

For more than twenty years, we have worked with wood. Floors, surfaces, spaces shaped by time.

This is our first piece of furniture.

Made in Cheshire from timber recovered from submerged forests, the chair is a small expression of what Re:discovered can become. A material with remarkable strength, character and versatility, equally at home across flooring, cladding, furniture, exterior applications, yachts and almost anything a designer can imagine.

We’ll be showing it at Decorex, alongside the wider Re:discovered collection.

A first piece, but certainly not the last.

Reclaimed timber has always carried something new wood cannot: age, character, provenance.

But specifying it consistently across flooring, joinery, furniture, decking and cladding can be difficult. Variation is part of its beauty, but also part of the challenge.

Re:discovered changes that.

Submerged timber, recovered from forests lost beneath the water decades ago. Rare species. Exceptional quality. Consistent enough for projects at scale, without cutting down living trees.

One material. Many possibilities.

We’ll be showing Re:discovered at Decorex this October. Will you be there?

Manoir Oak. Character Grade. Unfinished. A little glimpse into our workshop in Cheshire, where every board is carefully considered before it finds its place. With reclaimed oak, installation is just as important as the wood itself. Understanding the grain, the knots, the natural variations, and knowing how to bring them together is a craft in its own right. That's why we also offer specialist installation, taking care of your floor from the first board to the final finish.
