It is with great honor that we announce that our Founding Partner and Design Director, , has been elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects for, Object 1: Design. Congratulations on your elevation to Fellowship in the Institute, Brian Wickersham, FAIA! This has been over 25 years in the making. Your hard work, dedication, and notable contributions to the profession and society has been recognized by the most distinguished members of the . Less than 3% of AIA members are recognized with the prestigious honor and the FAIA designation and your team at could not be more proud of you!

Brian is incredibly grateful to the AIA for the honor and for all that supported him through this process.

Swipe to see a few of the projects featured in Brian’s submission… Beginning with The Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center (GKPAC) located at the VIsta Del Mar Child and Family Services. GKPAC serves as a home for an innovative therapeutic arts program for children with autism by day and a performance space to generate funds for the nonprofit by night.

The Croft Residence, built on a 40’-wide lot in a dense neighborhood, the design maximizes outdoor and indoor spaces.

The Windsor Residence, a home built at the top of a steep, nearly unbuildable site, utilizes two existing retaining walls that remained from a 1980s house fire.

The Glorya Kaufman Community Center at the Wende Museum is a 7,500 square foot multi-use space that unfolds like a Swiss army knife to provide cultural, educational, and social services.

AUX Architecture, Shawmut Design and Construction, and The Wende Museum are thrilled to announce that the ceremonial topping out of the Glorya Kaufman Creative Community Center, marking the placement of the final beam and the completion of the structure's frame, took place on August 5, 2023.

We ❤️‍🔥 this freshly sandblasted ceiling of the future home of Wende Museum's Glorya Kaufman Creative Community Center. Built sometime prior to the 1950s, this A-frame building is getting a full makeover so it's ready to host productions of all kinds.

New project! This new duplex in Silverlake will be built on a previously undeveloped parcel. Two 2-level homes are positioned on the hillside and will share two distinct courtyards for outdoor entertaining. Who else is looking forward to summer!?
