A little piece of midnight, slowly brought to life. 🌙✨

After many hours of sketching, designing, cutting, staining, and assembling, this custom celestial cabinet is finally finished.

There's something I love about watching someone's vision come together, slowly transforming from a collection of wooden pieces into something that feels like it has a little story of its own.

This one features my new, unique hand-blended Lunar Midnight stain, a rich, dreamy blue inspired by the quiet hours.  And at over 15" tall and wide, she's quite a presence!

I've been spending a lot of time in the workshop lately, experimenting with new colors, designs, and little details for a new celestial collection coming at the end of October.

A few pieces will make their debut The Dragon and The Rose Legacy Legacy Market in Orange on October 18, with more finding their way to Black Raven Marketplace ™️ in Santa Ana.

This cabinet was created as a custom piece, made especially for its new home. While similar designs may find their way into my upcoming collection, each will have its own little differences. No two will ever be exactly alike, and I rather love that. 🖤

For now, I'm just enjoying that lovely moment when the last piece is in place, the tools are set aside, and something that began as an idea is finally real.

Something new is taking shape in the workshop… 🌙✨

A rich new Lunar Blue stain, custom blended in-house until I found exactly the deep, dusky blue I had in my head. New delicate details, celestial touches, decorative keys, and more pieces designed for tarot, altars, storage, and all the curious little things we collect along the way.

This collection is still growing, but I couldn’t resist sharing a little peek. 🖤

Whenever I can, I love making the little pieces of Royal Zombie Crafts from as close to scratch as possible.🔮

Pouring candles, drying herbs, blending and bottling oils, handwriting labels, painting, staining, assembling… and occasionally wondering why I insist on giving myself seventeen additional steps. 

But those are also some of my favorite parts. I love watching a pile of wood, herbs, wax, paper and tiny miscellaneous things slowly become something that will eventually find its way onto someone else’s altar, shelf or curious little corner of their home.

And right now, this busy crafting studio is getting ready for What Witches Do Market this Sunday! 🖤🌿

Because apparently making the thing wasn’t enough. I had to make its packaging too. 🌙

I’ve been working on these new hanging celestial keys, and I wanted their packaging to feel just as handmade as what’s inside.

So I carved a little moon-and-stars lino stamp, added my handwritten Royal Zombie Crafts label, and nestled each set into its own kraft box. 🖤 I love the little imperfections that come with making things by hand, and I’m ridiculously happy with how they turned out. ✨

Happy Mabon, all. 🍂🕯️🌙

Today I slowed things down a little to welcome the turning of the season, sketching out my Mabon grimoire page (still very much a work in progress!), gathering a few meaningful treasures, and setting up my very first seasonal altar.

I took some time to write down the things I’m grateful for, to appreciate what this year has already brought, and to make a little space for whatever comes next.

There’s something about this point in the year that always feels like an exhale. The light begins to soften, the evenings creep in a little earlier, and the longer nights I’ve been impatiently waiting for are finally on their way. 🖤

So here’s to autumn, gratitude, balance, candlelit evenings, falling leaves, and the slow return of the dark.

The wheel turns again. 

Welcome, Mabon. 🍎🍂✨

🖤🐦‍⬛ One witchy market down… and the next one is already calling.

Last Saturday I brought some of my newest creations out for their first night at Witches Brew: miniature gothic houses, hand-painted magnets, intention candles, moon water jars, altar pieces, forest spirits and plenty of other curious little things.

And apparently there is no rest for the wicked, because this Saturday I’m packing it all up again. 😂

Come spend the evening with an incredible group of local artists, makers and wonderfully strange humans at the Black Raven Marketplace Night Market in Downtown Santa Ana. I’ll be bringing more of my newest pieces, including plenty of one-of-a-kind creations that you won’t find online.
