⭐ AUTHENTIC VPRO WAND VS. CURRENT TMF GENX6 & OTHER SWIVEL WANDS ⭐
We have received many questions from customers about the history of VPRO, our past relationship with TMF, and how the current TMF GENX6 compares with the VPRO wand.
We would like to clarify the history and the products.
VPRO has been manufacturing and refining professional carpet-cleaning tools for more than a decade.
From approximately 2014–2018, VPRO manufactured wands for Tony Dang / Dang Pro, which were also supplied into the TMF market.
From December 2019 through February 2026, VPRO directly manufactured and supplied TMF with VPRO swivel wands, non-swivel wands, stair tools, and several related products. During that relationship, VPRO also manufactured the Boss Inline Filter and the dual-wand system marketed by TMF as the “Laser.”
VPRO is no longer affiliated with TMF and does not plan to supply TMF in the future.
The current TMF GENX6 is not manufactured, designed, or supplied by VPRO, and it should not be considered an upgraded VPRO wand. It is a different product.
⭐ THE SWIVEL IS DIFFERENT
GEKKO, Westpak, and similar products have used this general type of swivel architecture for many years.
VPRO moved beyond that older-style design and developed our own precision triple-bearing swivel system.
The challenge is not simply placing three bearings inside a swivel. The machining tolerances and bearing preload must be extremely precise. If the system is slightly too loose, the swivel loses its controlled feel. If it is slightly too tight, it becomes stiff.
VPRO has refined this balance over many years so the swivel feels stable, smooth, and natural during professional cleaning.
The current VANTOOL and TMF GENX6 swivel mechanisms are different from VPRO’s triple-bearing design and more closely resemble the older general swivel architecture that has existed in the industry for many years.
⭐ THE HEAD, SIGHT WINDOW & GLIDE ARE DIFFERENT TOO
VPRO uses a different recovery-path geometry. Our head transitions upward at approximately a 30-degree angle toward the swivel and vacuum tube, helping create a more continuous recovery path:
Carpet → Glide → Suction Chamber → Angled Transition → Swivel → Vacuum Tube
VPRO also uses an ultra-wide sight window designed to maximize the visible area for easier monitoring of recovery flow.
Our glide is a precision-machined, snap-on, screwless PTFE glide, designed specifically for the VPRO head for a secure fit, consistent seal, and easy replacement.

⭐ OTHER DETAILS MATTER TOO
VPRO incorporates several design details developed specifically for professional cleaners:
• Monolithic CNC-machined aluminum head
• Precision triple-bearing swivel
• Ultra-wide sight window
• Externally accessible jets for easier cleaning and replacement
• Snap-on PTFE glide — no glide screws
• Very low-profile tube bend for reaching farther underneath furniture
• Recovery-path geometry designed to direct airflow and recovered solution naturally toward the vacuum tube
These features may look simple from the outside, but achieving the proper machining, geometry, tolerances, and fit requires considerable manufacturing experience.
⭐ EVEN THE FINISHING IS DIFFERENT
VPRO quality does not stop with the machining.
Our powder-coated tubes and anodized heads are finished here in the USA by long-established, highly experienced finishing companies in the Los Angeles, California area.
The quality of the powder coating, anodizing, color consistency, and overall finish is part of the VPRO manufacturing process.
Some differences are difficult to appreciate from photographs alone. When you hold the products side by side, operate the swivel, and examine the machining and finish in person, the differences become much easier to see.

⭐ VPRO POLISHED WANDS ARE COMING BACK
VPRO previously manufactured polished swivel and non-swivel wands for TMF.
Now that we are building the VPRO brand directly, a polished VPRO version will be returning soon.
⭐ ABOUT CUSTOMER REVIEWS
We also want customers to understand an important distinction regarding reviews.
Because VPRO manufactured the TMF wands through February 2026, reviews posted through April 2026 generally belong to the VPRO-manufactured product era and should not automatically be treated as reviews of the current TMF GENX6.
The current GENX6 is a different product, so reviews specifically reflecting GENX6 ownership and use should be from May 2026 onward.
When comparing reviews, we encourage customers to look carefully at the review date and the actual product being reviewed.
