Teacher appreciation cakes! I had the kids help make the cakes and then added their handmade flowers !
This morning they were so proud of themselves to deliver their flowers!
Hopefully the teachers like loads of frosting 😂

I can't stand UGLY, "non thought out" crafts for kids or just anyone.. I know I say it's "about the process" and who you are BECOMING while you are creating and making...
BUT....
My promise to you is, you'll never ever see just a random UGLY circle and square cardboard craft over here.

Sensory play… it’s magical for the kid’s but can we all admit that it’s totally STRESSFUL for us Mom’s?

Don't over think it.🤪
↪️ Grab the template I made for you, a bottle of glue, and whatever textural bits and pieces you want to use 🤯 boom. You have some sensory artwork that kids and you will actually love to make and keep!

I find .. when you have the kids create something you actually enjoy and want to keep... The mess doesn't bother you as much! 🥳🤪🎉😂

I created this project for my son who was a bit younger than 3 1/2 years old at the time to see if he could do it.... I wanted him to work on his fine motor skills, coordination, and patience....

We did it together... and to this day, almost a year later, he still asks me if he can make another one!

He'll ask: " Momma, can we craft today?".. or he'll say " Momma! What could we MAKE out of this? ( a banana peal or a toilet paper roll.. or a box.. etc)

This is my reason WHY.

THIS. His creative, self confidence, true outstanding belief in HIMSELF... to create and make whatever he wants.

The world is his. It's right as his fingers....

Even if I never sell another one of these kits (which I sold out of last year.. and just finally restocked on the website for YOU)... BUT even if I never sell another one of these craft kits... The fact that my 4 year old son is sooooooooo into crafting with me and has this untamable WILD creative thinking just bursting out of him is a real dream come true.

That's what this is all about.

Creating an open ended creative space to MAKE. To get the creative juices flowing... to build that confidence inside and gain the realisation within that says YES... YES I CAN make that or do that!... and in the process of it all, THRIVE.

So... long story short... but from this crafty Momma to YOU: Believe in your kid to Make do and THRIVE.

If you create a safe and open space to try to figure things out together, the craft-abilities are endless!

Seize the day and MAKE time to create.

Did you stay up late last night finishing up your kids valentine's for class and their teachers? 🤪☺️

I told my husband the idea I had for the Valentine's for Reid's class, and he said, "wow.. hmmm . That just sounds like a lot of work..."

Well, he was correct, but it was such fun and I love making things that I know will bring JOY.

I put together individual finger puppets for all 20 kids!

I think they'll be excited and hopefully they'll all get to play together which I guess is better than a sugar rush 🤪🥳

What do your kids love to pretend play? Tell me!! Isn't it so fun to see that magic happen?!

Want to encourage your kids to get a bit more imaginative play? ( So you can get a minute???)

When you get cardboard boxes, let them create with them! It can be the mountain they climb, then the cave they discover in!

When your egg cartons are empty, tell them "ok, here's your next castle"... See how they will create + play with it!
*
When the toilet paper runs out and all is left is the roll, tell them "here's your race track tunnel.. the race is starting!!"
*
Get those kids playing and creating... Not only so you can get a minute, but so they can get those creative muscles flexed!!
