Morning everyone. Today marks 1 month post-op after my total knee replacement. Can't lie, it's rough but I am making progress. I'm able to walk without a walker or cane but ice and elevation still a crucial part of how I spend my days.
We've received much appreciated feedback that keeping all the parts and pieces organized and in proper pairs can be challenging. We agree!
We've tested all kinds of different scenarios that involve filament color changes to help streamline keeping the proper parts together. The issue with this method is that it takes more printer time and eats up filament in the form of waste. That's OK for us, but ends up costing you more because we have to base our prices on material costs and machine costs.
In the meantime, I got a new toy and was able to get it set up and running. Just for grins and giggles I printed an egg cage to test. This method does add another step to producing the cages, but we're already figuring out a way to streamline this process. It literally takes like 20 seconds to label the cages using the laser. MUCH faster than 3-d printing them.
Clearly, I need to dial in my settings (this is actually a base 5 cage), but I think you get the idea from this picture. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this style of labeling. Oh, and should we label the posts or the spines?
