If you were in the store today and you "paid" with credit card between 11:39 and 4:11, please come back and actually pay us., or call or message us and we can set up payment. The credit card system was not working and one of our newer very part time employees did not see that no transactions were actually going through...

One person already came back and paid us (thank you). Some of you are regulars so we will be asking you to pay for your items next time you come in.

It should have been obvious. Come on guys.

We appreciate the commentary regarding the cold temperatures. Thanks. We didn't know!

Unfortunately, heating the building is not in the cards. The heaters are all broken and the landlord refuses to fix them. We cannot spend tens of thousands of dollars to fix or replace them in his stead. Even if he did fix them, heating such a large place would be cost prohibitive past a few extra degrees.

Therefore, you should be prepared to freeze to death or wear warm clothing. If we found your body encased in a cube of ice, please find comfort in the fact that we would eventually sell it as a medical curiosity.

But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Another item destroyed by someone swinging a bag or purse around. We do take care to put breakable items out of the way, but sometimes customers move things around and don't put them back, or they swing their bags and purses around without care.

No, they didn't pay, and they ran off. I did hear a sound like something shattering, but was too busy to confront them.

We are changing our hours to benefit our customers the most.

It will be in stages. For now, the hours will be:

Thursday through Friday: 12-6
Saturday through Sunday: 10-6

Eventually, we are most likely moving the hours to:
Thursday through Friday: 1-6
Saturday through Sunday: 10:30-6

We have suffered yet another high value theft in the last few days. We are a small business ... we don't get our stuff for free. This despicable act is being actively investigated. We have multiple cameras in the premises.

This is the second high value theft this year, and the second high value theft ever in our four year history.

Rest assured that we will prosecute any theft, including this one, to fullest extent of the law.

In Massachusetts, retail stores have the right to physically detain any person accused of shoplifting until the police arrive to arrest said person, and we will without compunction.

We will be taking further measures in the next few days to strengthen our anti-theft deterrent.
