On Friday mornings there are a lot of people working at AW , but we have so much fun! From the laughter and singing you might have thought we were having a party.

Our team wove 2 rugs, 2 handbags, 2 phone cases, and 8 towels. Plus, our volunteers sewed, pressed trimmed and priced countless towels. All of that on a Friday morning! (And that doesn't even count the towels and dishcloths woven in the afternoon!) Great teamwork everyone!

When you purchase items from Ability Weavers you are helping us create fun employment. Thanks for supporting what we do.

100%of all profits are used only to create even more employment opportunities. Thank you.

Our new Studio was built with a large window framed in the block walls but it has long been covered with siding. Randy Miller at Miller Glass brought the window back to life yesterday! He and his son did a great job with the install. Quality tempered glass at a much better price than the big box stores. We are planning to put our 10 foot wide loom nearby. Big looms need big windows! Next up is drywall and paint. Still working to be open for our 10 year anniversary on July 3!

Here is a post I missed. The LINKS class from Lowell High School unites students with and without disabilities. They visited us earlier this year. Our weavers had a fun time sharing the art of weaving with them. Each student had a chance to give weaving a try. We love having student groups visit our shop.

This week's Studio expansion thanks goes to Ridgeline Mechanical of Sparta. Sam and his team did a fantastic job of installing a large spiral duct for our heating/cooling. They were very professional, hard working and explained all the details of properly sizing the duct. The price was very reasonable. Thank you Ridgeline!

Today's success in the new Studio expansion will be appreciated by the weavers and volunteers for years. Arctic Heating and Cooling removed the large 1980's broken roof furnace and added AC to the building! Steve, Oscar and Fisher did an outstanding job! Steve worked hard to find an uncommon 3 phase condenser and designed a heavy duty steel hatch to cover the roof. Mike at Arrow Crane made the lift look easy. Many thanks to Arctic and Arrow!
