Thank you to everyone who stopped at Wags and Wool this past weekend. So fun to be open again and to talk all things yarn with you! And when a nine week old Golden puppy makes an appearance well what else is there! Wags will reopen on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th as the Proprietor(that be me), my Sister and one of our Besties are headed out to Iceland and the Faroe Islands for an amazing guided knitting tour. So looking forward to exploring this part of the world and we will be hitting some very small sheep farms where we get to meet the sheep and the amazing folks that raise them and then process their fleece. I am sure we will be bringing home lots of wool to add to our stashes. I had intended to finish this Salmon Run sweater before the trip but instead decided to treat myself to an authentic Icelandic sweater knit locally. The Handknitting Association of Iceland will be our first stop! So thanks for your patience while we are away and look forward to seeing everyone when we return. Happy knitting everyone!

Merry Christmas and thank you all for continuing to support this tiny little business in Lubec, Maine! Grateful for all of you and a belated thank you for supporting our yearend effort to collect canned goods for our local food bank. Three plus full bags - I had to enlist the help of my “muscle” to drop them off! As we head into a New Year full of hope and dreams, I leave you with this picture of Basil - a frequent visitor to Wags and Wool and I thank her mom Jennifer for that. Basil is here to remind us to remember to take time to live in the moment and have some fun. Enjoy the holidays everyone and we wish you the best for 2026.🍾💜

Sale details! Nov. 21st through 23rd - hours posted below. Doing 30% off all yarn, needles, notions and dog and kitty stuff. Would like to try and collect some food for the LCOC food pantry so if you bring me a canned good or non perishable you will get another 5% of your purchase for a total of 35%!!! Also, Handknits are not usually on sale as they are a lot of work but if you do the donation I will take 10% off of any handknit. If you want both discounts please bring two items. It will be great if we can collectively help out our local pantry. And just two exclusions - Sale Wall - everything is all ready 50% off and it has been restocked. And then as usual the local farm yarns and handspun. These are all very special and again a lot of work for these makers. So please come on out and help me empty some of my shelves - less I have to inventory! And if you can’t make it I will consider shipping depending on the situation. Thanks everyone and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I was hoping to open the shop this weekend and hold my annual sale but I am flat out with a wicked flu and no way is that going to happen. I certainly don’t want to pass this on to anyone and I just don’t have the energy. So sorry but I am working on some final dates and will post them shortly. And once I am better I am happy to meet anyone at the shop if the days don’t work for you. I like to hold this sale so everyone can stock up for the long winter as well as to reduce the amount of skeins I have to count for yearend inventory - haha. And for those of you trick or treating - I am going to get my basket of candy to Meganne of The Glass Lantern - she has graciously agreed to hand out the candy for Wags and Wool. I am very bummed as I will really miss all of the trick or treaters - last year was a blast and the costumes were terrific!! Thanks everyone for your understanding and hope to see some of you very soon. 🎃🦇🧙‍♀️
