We so often hear on socials and in gyms how HARD you can push yourself, associating 'hardness' with a trophy.

And we hear it, actually we LOVE pushing ourselves to be better than we were yesterday.

But what we also love, is the opposite; the importance of pacing yourself. To have a solid workout that is challenging yet realistic. We aren’t trying to kill our body, we just want to be able to walk and sit with little to no pain after!

Maybe we could pull off that level of intensity in our 20's. But then again, maybe we never really could or we have a lingering injury from it.

Training hard is old.

Training smart is in. The studio is open for you.

FYI. I’m planning on doing a BARN QUILT class in the near future. It will be held at Makana Art Studio in Biloxi. I’m just putting feelers out to see if there is any interest.
If your not familiar with barn quilts it is a wooden quilt block that is displayed on barns, sheds, homes and just about anywhere you want to hang them. They come in all sizes. 8x8, 4x4, 2x2 and even bigger. The custom was Started in Ohio when a daughter of a quilter want to honor her Mother. So began the barn quilt trails. Trails are all over the country. People pick up maps and go in search of the barn quilts. Every state has barn quilt trails. There are several in Mississippi. Jackson and Harrison County on the coast have not started one as yet. I’m hoping to get one started in those county’s
I belong to the Chickasaw-Leaf Barn Quilt Trail in George and Green County’s.
