A Gentle PSA from My Heart to Yours
I wanted to share something important after a customer recently reached out with the photo below. When I saw it, my heart sank — not out of frustration, but out of deep concern. As someone who pours love, intention, and blessing into every candle I make, the safety of the people who bring them into their homes means everything to me.

Candle makers work hard to choose safe materials, apply flame-retardant coatings, and provide thorough warning labels… but even with all of that, a candle is still an open flame. And sometimes, under certain conditions, a flame can behave in unexpected ways.

As we enter cozy-season, I just want to gently remind everyone of a few safety practices to help keep your home peaceful and protected:

• Trim your wick to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent high flames.
• Keep candles away from anything flammable, even décor that seems harmless.
• Avoid drafts from vents, fans, or open windows.
• Place candles on a level, heat-safe surface.
• Never burn a candle all the way to the bottom, especially in wooden dough bowls.
•wooden bowls in and of themselves are flammable and require extra caution.
• And most importantly, never leave a candle unattended — even for a moment.

Candles bring warmth, comfort, and beauty into our homes. They help us slow down, breathe deeper, and create sacred little moments in our days. My hope is simply that we all enjoy them safely and mindfully.
