The iStitches Collection has now been completely rebuilt for today's Apple devices.

The stitch collections themselves haven't changed. These are the same stitches found in the original iStitches apps and books. What has changed is the experience. The new apps include search, favorites, folders, zoomable diagrams, and easier navigation so your stitch library is always close at hand.

Whether you're searching for a specific stitch, planning a new project, sitting in a waiting room, or visiting your local needlepoint shop, your stitch library can now travel with you.

Rather than an all-over pattern, we filled the background with oversized posies scattered throughout the design. Each flower begins with a Jessica in metallic braid and blooms into colorful petals stitched with Color Dreams Floche. They're bold, cheerful, and one of my favorite stitches to teach.⁠
⁠
We also started giving our wide-eyed kitty a little personality. His crescent-shaped ears are stitched, and his face is beginning to come to life.⁠
⁠
This design by Johanna Virtanen is pure happiness, and we're just getting started.⁠

Today's finished beauty is Too Fluffy to Hide based on original art by Heather Gauthier. Carole's stitched version is back from the framer!

This project is packed with techniques that look intimidating until you try them. Ribbon flowers, beaded vases, crystal centers, and yes—even bezel-setting crystal chatons.

One of my favorite things about this canvas is that it encourages stitchers to stretch a little. The dark background looks dramatic, but it isn't nearly as difficult as it appears. The beadwork is approachable. The flowers are fun. And by the end, you'll have learned techniques you'll want to use again and again.

The finishing is special too. We incorporated wallpaper from the room where the piece will live into the mat design, creating a truly custom finish that makes the whole project feel like artwork created specifically for that space.

Most stitchers see painted areas waiting for thread. After writing hundreds of stitch guides, I see something a little different.⁠
⁠
I see texture.⁠
⁠
I see depth.⁠
⁠
I see where the eye should travel.⁠
⁠
I see stitches that will move forward and stitches that should quietly recede into the background.⁠
⁠
Before I ever pick up a needle, I'm already thinking about stitch scale, thread weight, perspective, sparkle, contrast, and how all of those choices work together to tell a story.⁠
⁠
It's one of the things I love most about writing stitch guides. Every canvas is a puzzle waiting to be solved.⁠
⁠
